"Alright, let's see if the Irvin family will come crying to me when they hit rock bottom."

Andre grabbed his phone, ready to issue a command to his assistant, "Buy out the Irvin family."

"Boss, which Irvin family you're talking about?"

"The one that belongs to my father-in-law," Andre said, glancing at Mia.

On the night of their wedding, Mia was so pissed off she felt like punching Andre. She was fuming, her temper flaring, "Andre, you are such an asshole."

"You...”

He was taken aback. He didn’t expect her to let slip a swear word.

Mia, in her evening dress for greeting guests, stormed out of the bridal room. She asked a servant she bumped into, "Where's Hansen?"

Her abruptness startled him, "In his bedroom, I believe."

She asked again, "Where is Hansen's bedroom?"

The servant pointed in a direction.

Just then, a lady of some importance appeared from around the corner. From her age and dress, Mia knew this was Andre's sister-in-law, Naomi.

Naomi said to the servant, "You can leave now."

The servant bowed and left.

Mia looked at Naomi, and she couldn't bring herself to call her sister-in-law. This woman was three years older than her own mother.

Naomi approached Mia, sizing her up, "What do you need from Hansen?"

"He didn't keep his word."

Naomi glanced at Andre who came out after, her gaze shifting between the couple, "Shouldn't you two be in your room on your wedding night, or do you want everyone to know your business?"

Naomi sternly reproached Mia, and Andre.
