From a young age, Leo had an uncanny ability to excel at everything he did, even the things he didn’t particularly enjoy. This trait made everyone around him naturally assume he was passionate about those tasks, and they paid close attention to his achievements, considering them his strengths.
Throughout his school years, Leo was always at the top of his class. He aced exams that others struggled with on their first try, effortlessly collecting certifications. Business studies seemed like a breeze for him, leading everyone to naturally conclude that he was destined for a career in business.
With a stern expression, Andre declared, "Like it or not, let him come and tell me that himself."
Mia muttered under her breath, "As if he'd ever rebel against you."
After saying this, Mia took out her smartphone to snap a photo of her son, capturing the moment.
"Honey, we've never really taken professional photos of our son since he was born. How about we do that this week?" Mia suggested, a proposal Andre couldn’t argue against. They had thought about taking their son for a photo shoot before, but concerns about safety, especially after the incident with the Walker family, had made Andre hesitant to take his son out. Now, it seemed, there was no better time.
"Sure," Andre agreed.
Mia added, "Molly had her wedding photos taken at a studio that also does baby portraits. I'll ask her for the contact details."
When their little one woke up and saw his mom, his soft cheeks lifted in a smile, his eyes sparkling with delight.
"Seems like someone recognizes his mommy," Mia said as she lifted her son, planting a gentle kiss on his cheek, her love for him evident.
Andre watched his wife and son, a rare smile breaking on his face.
At the office, Leo lost count of how many times he had made the trip to the restroom. Returning to his desk, he found a girl sitting in his chair. Just from her silhouette, he knew who it was.
"Anya, what brings you here?" he asked.
Anya stood up, offering back the chair. "I came with your aunt. You weren’t here when I arrived."
Leo insisted Anya take his chair and went to fetch another from the lounge. The secretaries peeked curiously, wondering about the girl's relationship with Leo.
Noah, on his way out, recognized Anya. "Anya, what are you doing here?" he asked.
Anya replied, "Uncle Noah, I came with my aunt to see Chad."
Noah nodded, understanding. "Your father was just talking about you with the boss this morning. Carry on, I’ve got some documents for the boss."
As Noah left, the secretaries whispered among themselves, realizing Anya was from the prestigious Gordon family, which explained her visit with the lady of the house.
