Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 610

Andre cradled his son as he stepped out of the elevator, catching sight of his nephew, Leo, lounging around without a care in the world. “Leo, my office. Now.”

Leo grunted in acknowledgment and trailed behind Andre.

The little one twisted his head, curious about the brother who always managed to make him cry. Leo, unable to resist, scooped up the soft, adorable bundle, inhaling the sweet scent of baby powder.

“Ah, ah,” the baby cooed.

Leo, holding the baby close, half-joked, “Uncle, your son’s trying to pick a fight with me.”

Andre, his mind on other things, asked, “What’s the deal with the car?”

Leo blinked, trying to evade the question. “I didn’t use your money. Bought it myself.”

Andre’s eyes narrowed, his tone cold. “And how did you earn it?”

Leo swallowed hard, using the baby as a shield. “Trading stocks.”

“Show me. Which stocks did you buy?”

Leo didn’t move a muscle, nor did he reach for his phone. Andre, almost certain now, leaned back, his gaze hardening. “You think making quick money is a long-term plan?”

Leo looked up, startled by his uncle’s anger.

Instead of pride, Andre’s expression was one of disappointment.

Leo’s confidence wilted. “Just this once.”

Andre’s icy stare made it clear Leo had no room to argue. The intimidating aura Andre exuded was something even seasoned businessmen found daunting, let alone a young man like Leo who hadn’t fully entered the real world.

“Put the kid down. Take half a day off and clean up whatever mess you’ve made,” Andre ordered.

Leo gently placed the baby into a nearby rocker but then remembered the baby’s recent attempts to roll over. Concerned, he handed the baby back to Andre.

As Leo left, Andre placed his son on the desk, booted up his computer, and delved into the dark web, searching for any information related to Leo’s activities.

Alone now, Leo was deep in thought. His last foray into the dark web hadn’t gone unnoticed, and he knew he was being tracked. Despite shaking them off, entering that world meant he was now a target.

He realized he should have laid low, but instead, he’d shown off by solving a problem for a company that no one else could fix. No wonder his uncle was mad; he hadn’t thought things through.

After resolving the issue, Leo returned to the office. “Uncle, it’s all taken care of,” he announced.
