Chad rolled off Molly, both of them catching their breath. He lay beside her, feeling the warmth of her body still lingering on his skin.
Chad gazed at Molly, her skin glowing with a rosy hue. He gently brushed away the strands of hair clinging to her neck, admiring the love marks scattered across her body. Each one felt like a victory, a proof that she was his, and it filled him with an immense sense of joy.
As he leaned in for another kiss, Molly closed her eyes, her voice barely a whisper, "Chad, I feel like I’m falling apart." It was the first time she’d ever admitted to feeling weak.
Chad promised himself he’d just give her one gentle kiss, nothing more.
Molly finally drifted off to sleep as the soft gray light of dawn began to seep through the curtains.
The next day, Mia was having lunch at school with Anya. She tried calling Molly, but there was no answer, no response to video messages, nothing. Finally, Mia put down her phone and focused on her meal.
Anya, curious, asked, "Auntie, were you trying to reach my aunt for something? I can help you look for her."
"It’s fine. If she’s not answering around this time, she’s probably catching up on sleep."
Anya nodded, assuming her aunt had stayed up late playing video games with her grandpa again.
As they slurped their spaghetti, Mia pondered aloud, "Anya, what do you think your aunt will name her kids?"
Anya looked baffled.
Seeing her confused look, Mia chuckled, "Silly, just eat your food."
Anya, however, took the question seriously, even daydreaming about it during class. She made a list of potential names for her future cousins, considering all possibilities, including twins and even triplets.
When Leo picked her up from school, he found her list and lightly tapped her on the head with it, teasing, "Are your parents paying for you to speculate about Jade’s future kids now? Twins, triplets? Why not go for quadruplets?"
Anya mumbled, realizing maybe she got a bit carried away after her auntie’s playful question.
Later, Leo decided to take Anya out for dinner instead of heading straight home.
During the drive, Anya sensed Leo’s mood, "Chad, are you upset about something?"
Leo glanced at her, "Focus on your studies, don’t worry about my thoughts."
Anya 'threatened' him playfully, "Chad, one day you might actually lose me if you keep this up!"
