Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 662

Molly's worries finally eased. “Mom, just wait for me to get back. With me around, Juliana won’t dare show her face.”

After hanging up, Molly started packing for the trip back home with Chad.

Chad glanced her way with a teasing grin, “Weren’t you supposed to be sleeping?”

“I didn’t want to deal with you, but you just have to point everything out, don’t you?” she shot back, rolling off the bed and heading to the wardrobe, her legs feeling like jelly.

Spotting Chad’s trophies, she grabbed one, tempted to bite it out of sheer frustration.

“Go ahead, bite it a few more times. Just more punishments, no biggie,” Chad said with a smirk.

Molly looked at the trophy in her hand, threw a tantrum, and tossed it at Chad, who caught it effortlessly.

Later that night, Molly leaned against the passenger seat, ready to sleep as soon as she laid down.

Suddenly, she remembered Chad, who also hadn’t slept much. “Chad, are you too tired to drive?”

“Don’t worry. With you in the car, I wouldn’t risk it. Just sleep,” he reassured her.

Juliana’s family was broke. Her husband had been laid off, and their son was unemployed. They were struggling and too ashamed to ask the Havenbrook family for money.

When Juliana called her brother Kendrick for help, he blocked her number. Their parents claimed they had no money to spare.

So, Juliana and her husband set their sights on their parents’ savings.

Kendrick and Coleen regularly sent money to their parents, who were frugal. Chad also left cash under their pillows, knowing bank trips were a hassle for them.

This led Juliana to believe there was money hidden in the house.

Afraid of the neighbors finding out, they snuck in at night.

The first time, they found $8000 locked away.

Dave, Juliana’s son, knew what they were doing but felt powerless to stop them. Despite knowing it was wrong, the money could temporarily improve their lives.

The second time, they didn’t find as much cash but stumbled upon a gold bracelet Molly had gifted her grandmother, worth thousands.

After pawning the bracelet, they lived comfortably for a few days. However, they weren’t invited to a lavish family wedding, which infuriated Juliana, though she dared not confront them.

“Those freaks, letting Molly marry Chad, her cousin she called brother for years. Embarrassing,” Juliana muttered to herself, finding solace in her complaints, yet never daring to confront the Byrne family or Coleen in person.
