Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 797

Henry nibbled on his chubby little hand, puzzled by all the attention he was getting.

Andre wrapped his arms around Henry, “Yeah, I've been swamped with work, and my son just won’t warm up to the nannies. My wife’s been handling everything.”

The doctor motioned for Mia to sit down, noticing her fingers were so sore she could barely move them. Familiar with such cases, the doctor promptly wrote a referral. “Place your insurance card here, and let's run some tests to check for other symptoms. I suspect it's tendonitis.”

“It’s probably from carrying the baby too much. We call it ‘mommy wrist.’ Your Henry must weigh over twenty pounds, right? Carrying him every day would be tough for anyone.”

“What?” Mia was bewildered.

This was the first time Andre had heard of this, and he asked, “What’s that? Is it serious? Does it require hospitalization?”

As the doctor wrote the referral, he explained, “We can’t diagnose until the test results are in. Your wife’s been enduring this for a while, and she can’t perform some joint movements, so it’s probably not mild. We’ll check her wrist for other issues, and further treatment will depend on the results. First-time parents often coddle their kids too much.”

Holding the referral, Andre led his wife to the testing area.

His steps quickened with nervousness, but he was careful not to leave Mia behind. Henry, realizing the hospital visit wasn’t for him to get a shot, contentedly sat in his dad’s arms, playing the role of an obedient little angel.

When they reached the examination room, it was packed with people waiting for their tests, each holding a referral at the door.

Mia scratched her head, “Honey, let’s not do this. There are too many people, and we should go. The baby is too young, and hospitals are full of germs.” She wanted to leave.

But Andre wasn’t having it. He immediately took her referral to the nurse’s desk to register.

Henry curiously turned his head to look around, even following a gurney with his gaze, going “Ah—Moo~”

Soon after, a wheelchair was pushed over, next to it an IV pole, with an elderly person receiving fluids.

Henry’s mouth opened in curiosity, his face turned entirely toward it.

The place was bustling and cramped.

When the elderly person’s family went to the nurse’s desk to queue, Henry silently reached out and grabbed the IV bag on the wheelchair. Unfortunately, his arms were too short to reach.

Seeing his attempt, the elderly person found him adorable. After several tries, the elderly person handed the IV bag to him to play with. Once Henry got it, the first thing he did was try to eat it.

“You can’t eat that, whose child is this? Watch him closely,” the elderly person exclaimed in shock.

The elderly person’s weak voice was barely audible over the noise, and with the occasional loudspeaker announcements, it was completely drowned out, so the couple didn’t hear. Andre was too busy comforting his wife to notice their son’s antics.

“Honey, it’s too crowded, and it’s getting late. The doctors will be off soon, we can come back tomorrow? I can just soak my hand in warm water to relieve it, it doesn’t necessarily have to... Henry! What are you doing! Let go!”

Mia was coaxing her husband to go home when she suddenly saw their little one pulling on someone’s IV tube, scaring her to the point of numbness.

Henry, scolded by his mom using his full name, pouted and was about to cry. His eyes shut tight, and the next second, “Waaah~”
