Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 798

Henry was reduced to tears by his aunt's words and reached out to be held by Mia.

The man driving, with a tough love approach, said, “Don't let him go to Mia. He shouldn’t sleep with her tonight either.”

Upon arriving home and seeing Mia’s hand, Hansen leaned on his walking stick and asked, “What happened to Mia’s hand?”

Molly said, “We've got a big chubby grandson here, and she’s been tiring herself out every day, ended up with tendonitis.”

“It’s okay, Dad, I just need to wear a brace for a while, and it’ll be fine.”

Hansen, with a pained expression, said, “It must hurt a lot. You should’ve told us earlier.”

Hansen looked at the chubby toddler, pinched his cheeks, and declared, “He’ll sleep with grandpa from now on.”

Naomi also wanted to claim the child. “He should sleep with me and Bruce. Bruce has always adored Henry.”

Soon after, Chad also returned home.

Another contender for the child’s affection.

Once the family learned about Mia’s hand injury, they gathered in the living room that evening, looking sternly at the little one seated on the coffee table, as if holding a serious meeting, followed by a spirited contest over who gets to take care of the child!

Bruce commented, “Dad, Henry is too heavy for you now that you’re older, you won’t be able to lift him.”

Hansen retorted, “Ha, I didn’t hear any complaints about my age when my grandson used to sleep with me. Now that you know Henry will be sleeping with us, you all show your true colors, wanting to take him from me? Dream on!”

Molly reached out to hug her nephew, “What happened before is in the past. Now is different. Grandpa, a daughter is born to share her father's worries. Let me take some off your shoulders. Give Henry to me, and you can have a full night’s sleep. Big brother, you shouldn’t argue either. Our dad is getting older, and you and Naomi aren’t young either. Look at how Naomi works so hard for the family every day, she’s even lost weight. Let me handle the hard work.”

Naomi interjected, “Molly, I don’t find it hard.”

Molly hit a sensitive spot, “Naomi, you need your beauty sleep. After all, you wouldn’t want to lose to Mrs. Calder in looks at Leo’s wedding, would you?”

Naomi fell silent.

Bruce added, “My sister-in-law can take her beauty sleep. I don’t need to compete in looks or care about who’s more handsome.”

“At our age, looks really don’t matter anymore. But, big brother, you need to stay healthy for the future of the Byrne family. If Henry wears you out now, what will you do?”

Bruce brushed it off, “We’ll worry about the Byrne family’s future when it comes.”

Hansen also said, “I don’t need my daughter to worry for me. Just not having you around to irritate me would probably add a few more years to my life.”

Molly suddenly seemed to have a change of heart, “Dad, I was too unfilial before. I really feel guilty about those times I upset you. Let my grandson stay with me tonight as punishment, okay? You’re getting on in years, and I can’t bear to see you suffer. Let your daughter take it on.”

Hansen waved it off, “No need, a father and daughter don’t hold grudges overnight. I’ve forgotten about the pranks you played on me. No need to punish yourself.”

Andre, holding a baby bottle, handed it to his son.

Henry happily drank his milk, sitting on the coffee table with his little feet swinging leisurely.

Mia, after listening for a while, asked, “So, who is he staying with tonight?”

Molly sat up, “How about we take turns? Each family takes a month, starting with the youngest. I’m the youngest, so he starts with me.”

“In a month, Mia’s hand will be healed.”

After Henry finished his milk, holding the bottle, he turned to find Andre.

Andre took the bottle and carried him away with one arm, “From today, he sleeps alone!”

The room was in shock, and Hansen exclaimed, “Andre, I couldn’t bear to let you sleep alone when you were one.”

Andre simply stated, “I’m tough.”
