Sweet Mischief's Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 867

Chad peered inside, "Looks like the deal’s off. Tell the Maple Hill team to tail the guy in the plaid shirt. Send our best for the job."

Donnie hurried off to make the calls.

Across the street, on a different floor, a woman sneered, "Chad? I’m not scared of him. If he tries anything, I’ll hit back just as hard. I’m facing charges anyway, so I’ve got nothing to lose."

Leopard, as he was called, laughed heartily, pulling the angry woman to her feet and giving her a kiss, "Haha, that's my Taylor, always so ruthless. I love it."

Donnie, confused, asked, "Boss, who does she belong to anyway? Last night she was with the guy in purple, and today she’s making out with plaid shirt guy. It’s a mess."

Chad, unfazed, kept watching through his binoculars. "When people toss aside their sense of law, their morals are already long gone."

Breaking the law starts when you abandon morality.

Morality is for self-control; the law is for controlling society. Without that inner line, the law is just a word.

Those who frequently break the law become arrogant, believing no one can touch them.

Chad put down the binoculars, turning to Donnie, "You’ll find out soon enough that money is the root of all evil."

"But we can’t do without it."

Chad chuckled, "Sometimes money brings happiness too." Like his wife, who just texted about picking up a new lipstick.

"Mia, do you want this lipstick? Should I grab one for you too?"

Mia: "Even if I have it, I can’t use it. Look at my son."

Mia and Molly watched Henry, who had just finished his formula. Mia picked up her little guy, letting his tiny feet kick her legs before giving him a kiss.

Then, with the fierceness of a tiger, Henry opened his mouth wide and gnawed at his mom’s face.

Mia, covering her mouth, endured her son’s intense love.

"Alright, that’s enough," she said, setting down her "little tiger" and wiping her face with a tissue. "In my house, even Andre has to wait in line behind Henry."

Molly scoffed, "Well, I’ll buy it anyway."

"You won’t use it either; you’re pregnant. Your mom won’t let you."

Molly: "I’d be happy just looking at it."

Order placed.

Another message popped up on Chad’s phone.

"Boss, since it’s just us, let me be blunt. If you weren’t the Bruce of Chade Inc., with your wife’s spending habits, your salary wouldn’t cut it. You might even feel the need to dip into the funds."

Chad nudged Donnie playfully.

Donnie: "Boss, your salary’s decent, but how can you keep up with Jade’s spending?"

"Molly spends freely when she can, but she’s careful when she needs to be. It looks like she’s wasting money, but that’s all mine. She hasn’t touched her own money, not even for groceries."

Donnie: "So my wife says, Officer Chad’s got it all, except when it comes to money. Now, working in financial investigations, staying away from money is actually a good thing."

Chad looked across the street, "They’re on the move. Tell team three to tail the guy in the plaid shirt, and remind the deputy leader to switch cars at the next intersection."

The Cedillo family.

After Molly’s purchase, she lounged on the sofa while Henry was back in his walker.

The chubby little guy, with no neck, turned his head and opened his mouth, crying loudly because no one picked him up.

Angry, he smacked the small table of his walker, but hit it too hard and hurt his own hand, leading to louder cries.

The sadder he got, the more his family laughed.

Henry, pushing his walker, looked at his mom, reaching out his little hands, his hand hurt~
