After coming out of the police station, they went straight to a nearby restaurant.
Scarlett wasn't obsessive about cleanliness, but she preferred a quiet and clean dining environment.
She couldn't make herself uncomfortable just to disgust Raymond.
It was not worth it!
Since they were well dressed and pretty, they attracted a lot of attention just after they entered the restaurant.
The waiter guided them to a window table. Scarlett took a seat and briskly ordered food.
Raymond came to eat hot pot for the first time. He couldn't stand the strong smells around him.
He glanced at Scarlett across the table. She was looking down at the menu and ordering seriously. She seemed relaxed.
He knew she was doing that on purpose, but he was pleased.
Raymond opened the menu. Looking through it, he didn't want to eat anything here.
Scarlett ordered what she liked. She checked and
found that Raymond hadn't ordered anything. She looked up at him, raised her eyebrows, and called him.
The man gazed up at her. "Yes?"
His eyes were intense. He had never looked at her like this before.
Scarlett pursed her lips, suddenly feeling bored. She bit her tongue and changed her mind. "There's another restaurant upstairs. You should like the food there."
She rarely spoke so peacefully to him. There was no sarcasm in her words.
Raymond, however, was upset. "Why do you think I don't like hot pot?"
Scarlett almost said, "You're a neat freak."
But she finally held back. "You didn't order anything."
"It's my first time here."
Scarlett recommended many dishes to him. "They taste good! You can eat them as soon as the water boils."
She chose the dishes that Raymond disliked. She had thought Raymond would leave in a huff. However, he accepted her suggestions and ordered every dish that she mentioned.
Neither of them was willing to give in. Scarlett called the waiter. It seemed that she lost to him in this round.
