Temptation From Her Ex-husband novel Chapter 228

As Scarlett's all-around secretary, Katherine called her immediately after knowing what happened, asking Scarlett's opinion. Katherine would handle the matter properly.

"Ms. Reed, shall I do something to guide public opinion?"

Scarlett glanced at the car in front of her. "No. Contact Dwayne. I'm on the way to the police station."

Katherine was taken aback. This matter was different. After all, it involved Scarlett's grandmother and uncle.

Katherine had thought that this matter was very tricky. In her opinion, Scarlett was beautiful and kind-hearted. Maybe that old woman could easily soften Scarlett up.

Now it seemed that Katherine underestimated her goddess!

"Okay, I got it, Ms. Reed."

Scarlett grunted and hung up the phone.

Her bag had been snatched away by Kyleigh. All she had with her was the phone in her hand.

There was a police station nearby. Ten minutes later, the car stopped.

Scarlett had just gotten out of the car when she saw Raymond following her.

She was stunned, glancing at him, but finally didn't say anything, walking into the police station.

Raymond was right. Kyleigh was Scarlett's grandmother. After Scarlett explained the situation, the police officer tried to persuade her to talk to Kyleighh.

Scarlett's smile faded. "Sir, I'm here to report a crime, not to tell a joke. Besides, I haven't seen Kyleigh for ten years. My parents passed away ten years ago. I have no duty to support her. Oh, by the way, do you know why I say that she snatched my bag not because she was angry with me, but because she wanted to sell it for money?"

She paused. "Twenty years ago, she tried to sell me to someone."

After that, the police officer who took the statement was awkward.

Raymond didn't expect Scarlett to mention that, subconsciously looking down at her.

She sat there calmly. Her smile faded, but she looked almost the same as before.
