Henry handed the invitation to her. "Don't worry. I won't expose you. Then you can rest assured, right?"
Henry was difficult to deal with. Scarlett knew that if she refused him, he would still mess with her.
She was not afraid of him. Henry seemed to be bold, but he would leave as long as Clair asked him to.
Scarlett just didn't want to cause trouble. "Okay."
She took the invitation. Henry curved his lips in satisfaction. "Let's go. I haven't seen you for so long. I'll treat you to a meal."
"Sorry, I didn't sleep well last night. I want to go home and sleep."
She had to speak bluntly to someone like Henry.
Unexpectedly, it didn't work on him either.
"You have to eat even if you want to sleep. Don't worry. It's just a meal. I'll send you back after that. Get in the car."
Seeing him insist, she had to give in. "My car is over there."
"Since you didn't sleep well, don't drive. Get in my car. If you need a car to go to work tomorrow, I'll give you a ride. What do you say?"
Scarlett glanced at him. "No need." "Don't stand on ceremony. It's just a piece of cake."
He pulled open the door. Scarlett folded up her umbrella and got into the car.
On the way, she was a little drowsy. When the car stopped, Scarlett realized that Henry had brought her t o Clear Waters.
It was easy to run into acquaintances here.
Henry was new here. He hadn't booked a room in advance, so they were led to a window table in the hall.
Though Henry was domineering, he was informal sometimes.
The manager of Clear Waters recognized Scarlett and apologized repeatedly. Henry waved him away.
"My friend recommended this place to me. I heard that the dishes here are quite delicious. Just order what you want to eat."
Scarlett finally knew why he could constantly change his girlfriend.
