They just sat there watching, not daring to say anything in front of Alexander.
Scarlett finished eating and wiped her mouth, watching those people flatter Alexander while drinking tea.
Alexander was talkative but he was the heir of the Sunrigal Corporation. Everyone present was fawning over him.
Alexander seemed reserved and serious during the meal.
Scarlett smiled, glancing at her wristwatch. It was past six o'clock, still early.
"Do you want to leave?"
Noticing her movement, Alexander asked.
Scarlett tilted her head and looked at him. "Do you have a problem with that?"
"No. It's early. Why don't you drink with me later?"
Scarlett had not wanted to leave so early, but since Alexander said this and was so concerned about her, she'd better go now.
She took her bag. "Do you mean drinking and drunk driving, Mr. Smith?"
Their voices were not loud, and the others at the table were talking. No one seemed to have noticed Scarlett and Alexander. Yet several of them were secretly paying attention to the two people.
Hearing what Scarlett said, they all thought Alexander would be angry, but Alexander said, "Drink juice, okay?"
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, "No. I'm allergic to juice."
Alexander was speechless.
He hadn't even told her what kind of juice they were going to drink.
Scarlett said to the people at the table, "Enjoy your meal. I have something to do. I'll leave first."
After saying that, she got up, and no one dared to stop her.
After all, she had just directly refused Alexander.
