Dr. Tinker had nothing to say. Linley needed to stay in the hospital for three months. He was in no hurry to say anything else now.
"I’ll leave you to chat."
Then Dr. Tinker left.
Linley's mother hurriedly poured a cup of water for Scarlett. It was too late for
Scarlett to refuse.
Scarlett had come from the company.
When she came, her car was stuck in front of the hospital. She originally wanted to get off and buy a bouquet of flowers for Linley, but the car was still stuck in traffic when she drove to the hospital entrance, so
Scarlett had to drop the idea.
"Mrs. Tucker, you don't have to be so polite."
"That’s fine. You've done so much for Linley. I just poured you a cup of water."
Linley looked at Scarlett from the side and said, "Scarlett, it’s okay. My mother just can’t owe anyone a favor."
When Scarlett heard what Linley said, she smiled and took the cup of water. "Thank you."
She lowered her head and took a sip of water, then handed the contract to Linley." Take a look at it. Is there anything that needs to be modified?"
Some people said that it was hard for a depressed patient to let others notice that she was suffering from depression.
Linley was obviously not the same as she was yesterday. If Scarlett hadn’t seen Linley's sullen expression, she might have thought that Linley had become what she had been in college.
However, Scarlett knew that was not true.
Linley was still uncertain and fearful.
However, she didn't want them to worry, so she pretended that everything was fine.
Scarlett felt bitter at the thought of these things.
