"Linley, I know you don't believe in yourself, but you should trust my eyes."
These were the last words Scarlett said to Linley before she left. Looking down at the contract in her hand, Linley suddenly wanted to cry.
It had been a long time since she had been complimented like this.
Her husband said she was an abandoned woman. Her mother-in-law said she seemed to be a hen who couldn't lay eggs. Her sister-in-law said she wasted a degree from Juanton University.
All of them scolded her for being useless. After hearing too much, Linley also felt herself useless.
The early summer evening came very late.
Turning her head to look out of the window, Linley blinked, and tears dripped onto the contract. She was startled. She hurriedly wiped away her tears carefully and then looked up at her mother, "Mom, do you think I can do it?"
Her mother had been a kind and soft woman for so many years. Linley had suffered a lot over the years. Her mother couldn't deal with those people. The only thing she could do was to tell Linley when they were together, "You're great."
However, it didn’t work. But now Scarlett told Linley with actions that she believed in her.
Her mother was touched, but for fear of affecting her daughter's mood, she just smiled gently, "Linley, didn't you tell me that Ms. Reed is a great person? So I believe she has a good eye. Besides, I've always believed that you're the best!"
"Mom."
Scarlett left the hospital before the rush hour. When she returned to the villa, it was already after six in the evening.
Raymond had a dinner party this evening, so Scarlett made a simple dinner for herself.
After dinner, Scarlett stood on the balcony and blew the wind.
The moon was very full today. When she looked up, she suddenly remembered something, so she picked up her phone and called Katherine.
At this time, Secretary Lawrence had just finished her dinner, "Ms. Reed, good evening."
Scarlett raised her hand and hooked her hair, smiling, "Good evening. Did 1 disturb you?"
"No. Ms. Reed, what's wrong?"
"I want you to help me check if Linley has any work over the years."
If she remembered correctly, it seemed that the winners of this year’s National Comic Competition were about to be announced.
