When Scarlett opened her eyes, Raymond was answering the phone. His voice was not loud, but she was so thirsty that she woke up. She saw Raymond get out of bed with his phone and go out. The alarm clock next to her had been turned off by him.
She propped herself up, asking Hilla to open the curtains.
The sunlight beamed in. She raised her hand to protect her eyes, walking out in the slippers.
Raymond was sitting on the sofa in the outer room. Hearing the sound, he gave her a look. "Did I wake you up?"
Scarlett shook her head and said in a husky voice, "I want to drink water."
"I'll pour it for you."
He stood up and came up to her, rubbing her cheek.
Scarlett watched him pull open the door and walk out. She couldn't help touching her face.
Did Raymond think she was a child?
He liked to pinch her cheek so much.
The bright sunshine poured through the windows. The bedroom was lit up.
Scarlett came out of her trance. She turned into the bathroom to wash up.
When Scarlett got out of the bathroom, there was a glass of warm water on the dresser.
She glanced at Raymond with a smile."
Thank you."
Raymond gazed at her. His eyes gleamed. He said "that's all", hung up the phone, and went into the bathroom to freshen up.
The morning sunshine at the end of July was strong. Scarlett stood on the balcony for a while, feeling a little hot.
Yet the morning breeze was refreshing. Hearing the footsteps, Scarlett looked back at Raymond walking over. She curved her lips. "Who called you?"
Raymond put his arms around her waist. He leaned down and kissed her lips. "Frank.
He paused for a moment. "Jean went to Ryker last night."
Scarlett raised her eyebrows. "Then she's quite fast."
Seeing that she couldn't persuade Raymond, Jean immediately went to Ryker.
It seemed that Tiffany was not nearly as important to Jean as Thomas.
Scarlett grunted. "So she's going to abandon Tiffany, right?"
