Sure enough, Raymond answered the phone a little faster than usual.
Alexander proudly raised his eyebrows. " Raymond, I'm on a golf course with Stephen. Do you and Scarlett want to come over?"
Raymond frowned disapprovingly. "We’re at the stable."
"I’ll join you! I haven't gone riding for a long time. You didn't invite me!"
Raymond snorted. "What for?"
Alexander was speechless.
So a single man didn't deserve to hang out with them, right?
"Which stable? I'll come with Stephen!"
It was so hot. Alexander didn’t want to play golf anymore. It was great to go riding!
Raymond looked at Scarlett beside him. " Alexander is coming over."
Scarlett glanced up at him. "I'm not the owner of the stable. I can't stop Alexander from coming!"
"I can."
Scarlett suddenly felt that Alexander was pitiful. "Never mind. It's fun to play with more people."
"Okay."
Raymond answered and then told Alexander their location on the phone.
Alexander had thought since Raymond ignored him and didn't even hang up the phone, their friendship of over thirty years might end. As he heard what Raymond said, Alexander felt they were still good friends. "Stephen and I will be there in half an hour."
Raymond grunted and directly ended the call.
Seeing this, Scarlett smilingly asked, "Is Alexander good at riding?"
Raymond looked down at her, thinking for a moment. "He's not as good as me."
Scarlett was embarrassed. "I'm asking if he's good at riding."
Now Raymond was not only thick-skinned but also narcissistic.
