"Dr. Nancy, how long will it take for Bobby to recover?" Frederic asked anxiously.
"It'd take at least three days," Nancy said as she packed up her medical kit.
"Mommy, Mommy, don't go! Please don't leave me now, " Bobby pleaded as he stretched out his little hand to grab Nancy's arm.
"Bobby, please try to understand. If I stay here who will take care of Nadia? And how will I go to work?" Nancy said gently.
"Mommy only cares about Nadia. Don't you care about me, Mommy?" Bobby said pitifully, sobbing.
What a poor boy!
The tone in his words made her heart soften. But, what could she do? There were so many people in the Fu family who didn't want her to stay there to take care of Bobby, right?
"Hey, if that is what he wants, why can't you stay here? I will support you staying here! Don't worry, no one will bully you," said Joseph.
"No, I have to take care of my child at home. I can't stay here!" Nancy insisted.
"Dr. Nancy, I wish you can stay here for three days. As you just said, Bobby will recover in three days' time. You can stay until then!" Frederic said slowly. He had to bother Nancy now, and was in need of her help. So, he wasn't as fierce as he used to be. "As for your daughter, you can bring her here if you want." "Nancy, please. It's just three days, three days..." added
Angelina.
"Mommy, please stay!" begged Bobby.
To be honest, Nancy was also worried about Bobby since he was injured badly. That forced her to change her mind.
She thought for a moment and said, "Okay. I'll stay here for three days. As for Nadia, I'll send her to her godmother. There is no need to pick her up here."
Frederic breathed a sigh of relief. "Angelina, give Nancy some money now. We have to pay her handsomely for her service."
"Please, no. As long as the hospital won't deduct my salary, I'm fine with it." Her decision to stay there was only for the sake of Bobby. If it was for money, she would never live in the same house with the Fu family.
"You silly woman. You can get a lot of money for just looking after Bobby. Why don't you accept it?" Wearing a smile, Joseph rubbed Nancy's hair.
Nancy pushed his hand away disgustedly. "It's okay for me to stay here. But Mr. Joseph, know your limits. Please respect my personal space and stay away from — II me.
"Well, don't be so rude to me. Don't you know that opposite sexes attract each other? I'm a man and you're a woman. There's nothing wrong in getting attracted to each other. If you don't feel attracted to me, then there must be something wrong with my hormones..."
"Mr. Frederic, please, I want to go to my room." The fact was that she wanted to avoid Joseph.
His flirtation was nothing, but the intensity of his eyes was intimidating.
Joseph was a playboy. The best thing for her was to stay away from him.
Jay also liked to play with women, but he had his bottom line.
But, this man was different. As long as he had someone on his mind, he would keep pestering until he could get her.
"Angelina, take Dr. Nancy to her room!" said Frederic.
"Dr. Nancy, let's go," Angelina said politely.
In fact, Angelina was embarrassed when she saw Nancy. All the tricks that she had used to prevent Nancy from marrying Charles were still fresh in her mind.
And in the end, it was Nancy who voluntarily broke up with Charles.
However, whenever she sat down for free, she occasionally thought of those things in the past and would feel guilty to Nancy.
But the rich families were always snobbish. And this was what could not be changed!
Angelina brought her to the guest room.
"Dr. Nancy, I know you don't like me. Now Mr. Frederic is back, and you have seen his attitude towards me. So, I have to do these things. I hope you can understand
— ¹¹ me.
Nancy smiled. "Aunt, let bygones be bygones. Don't worry too much about the past. We'd better not mention it. I just hope that Bobby will recover soon."
Angelina suddenly grabbed her hand and said gratefully, "Thank you so much."
