After a long time, Doris finally lost interest.
After she uploaded the video online, she waved her hand and said, "Stop, Winnie. I've had enough."
She had seen enough of it. The moment Winnie stopped, she staggered and passed out.
Jay called his men and they carried Winnie away. Like a child who had done something wrong, he turned to Doris and said in a soft tone, "It's all my fault, Doris. How about we have a meal together?"
Doris grabbed a book and threw it at him. "Are you going to dance again with your secretary, Jay?"
The book drew a beautiful arc in the air and hit precisely on Jay's forehead.
"Ouch, it hurts!" He almost knelt down to her. Then he swore, "I swear upon God that if I dance with a female secretary again in the future, I will surely be..."
However, before he could finish his words, he was interrupted by Doris' yelling. "Not just dancing! You are not even allowed to date with any other woman except me!"
"Yes, you're right. What a fool I am!" He raised his right hand and solemnly repeated, "From now on, I will never date any woman other than Doris. If I break my promise, let the God punish me."
Then Doris walked to him, covered his mouth with her hand and said, "Well, I believe you now."
After that, her face was full of satisfied smile.
"Then tonight can we...?" Jay was happy and he tried to get more.
"Well, I'm pregnant. So I get easily tired nowadays. I need to go to bed early tonight," she said grimly. Then she grabbed her bag and walked away.
"What? Wait a minute! I..." He was annoyed and speechless. He could do nothing, but watch her leave.
Doris was so proud of herself, like a hero returning from a triumph.
She felt it was better to compete with Winnie than to fight against others.
When she reached the gate, she took out ten thousand dollars from her bag and gave it to the guard. Then she said, "Sir, I'm really sorry for what I did. I can't buy you a cell phone myself. You can buy it yourself."
The guard grinned happily. "Madame, thank you so much."
He took the money with joy.
When she arrived, she was as violent as a storm, but when she left, her footsteps were as brisk as the spring breeze. It didn't seem like she was pregnant at all.
After listening to Doris, Nancy was overjoyed.
"You're really awesome, Doris!" she praised her sincerely.
"Well, you have to remember that if you are bullied by Charles in the future, don't stand it. Never go soft and encourage him to assume he can get away with such wrongdoing. You must learn to take an eye for an eye!" Doris began to teach Nancy some useful skills.
"An eye for an eye? That too, Charles? Well, you are thinking too much, Doris? I can't handle that man!" Nancy sighed.
"Men are all beasts. Even though women are expected to employ only soft tactics, you have to use both hard and soft ones to deal with Charles. Understand?"
Nancy shrugged. She thought that even if she somehow managed to handle Charles, she couldn't possibly know how to deal with Frederic and Angelina.
Nancy laughed too hard that her feet suddenly twitched and hurt.
