"Sir, I don't know what's going on. I always feel that there is someone manipulating this from the dark. It doesn't seem like a simple post out of boredom, but more of like a targeted attack." Confusion was written all over Hiram's face.
Deleting posts was something only a powerful person could do.
Who could it be?
"Can't you find it out?" Charles frowned at him.
'Tm investigating." It was kind of challenging for Hiram to find a lead.
While they were discussing, Charles' phone suddenly rang.
It was Angelina.
"I just read the news about a woman from medical school who gave birth to a child for another man five years ago. What's going on?" The news about this woman sparked her curiosity.
She wanted to know who it was.
So, when she saw the news by accident, she immediately called Charles to ask.
"What news? Why didn't I see it?" Because Charles had no intention of telling her more details, he pretended not to know the truth.
"The news about... a woman who gave birth to a baby five years ago," Angelina said. "Hold on, I'll find it for you."
"Okay." His voice was still cold and emotionless.
But when Angelina checked her phone again, she was stunned. The news she just read a while ago was gone now.
"Well, just now..." It was a bit confusing and awkward for Angelina so she called her Frederic for help. "Father, come here and prove to Charles that I saw the news just now,"
she told Frederic.
Instead, he snorted and said coldly, "These are just gossips. Don't believe it."
"Well, Charles, I can't find the news," Angelina said helplessly.
"You must have been mistaken. If you have nothing to do, you can plant flowers. Don't read around on the internet. There are too many rumors and fake news. A simple person like you will be easily fooled," Charles reminded her.
"I... Okay, I was wrong!" Furious and embarrassed, she dropped the call.
She didn't understand why Frederic and Charles insisted that she was mistaken. She wasn't blind! She really saw the news before it disappeared.
It was so strange!
How could she understand the world of business?
Whenever something happened, the business world turned upside down.
"Well, I was certain about what I saw! Why did they keep saying I made a mistake?" she murmured to herself.
"Auntie, what's with the long face? What happened?" It was Joseph who just walked in.
"Nothing. Where have you been?" Frederic asked, looking at him with fiery eyes.
"I'm just playing. What else can I do?" Joseph shrugged. "How about letting me work in the TS Group to help my brother?"
"You don't care about your own company. Why would you meddle in your brother's business? If you have had enough fun here, you can go back early." His expression remained cold.
"No, no, Grandpa. I haven't had enough fun yet. Derrick is in charge of the group there, so I can't get involved in it. Well, I'll go back to my room and have a rest. Bye." After saying that, he went upstairs.
Frederic's eyes followed his back, until he disappeared from his sight.
In the meantime, Nancy was in the office when Doris barged in.
"Nancy, look at the news. It came up again!" Doris shouted in surprise.
It disappeared and then appeared again.
"It's not us who deleted it. It's someone else. I can't even get in touch with the owner of the forum. It's really strange." None of them knew who the person behind it was.
Without saying anything, Nancy played with the cup of tea she was holding.
Her mind was a mess, and she didn't know who was making trouble.
Who could it be?
