The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 296

Anna never expected that Charles would fire her that easily, so she furiously shouted at Hobart.

But Hobart was unperturbed and just looked at her hysterical face. He shook his head with a sigh. "Anna, you are too naive! Your father is such a shrewd man. How come you haven't learned anything from him?"

"President Hobart, are you firing me for this reason alone?" Anna inquired in a sharp voice, squinting her eyes resentfully.

Hobart sneered helplessly and said, "No. You are just too young and naive!"

"Hey, do you really think you are some big shot here? Well, I don't really think that you are seriously asking me to resign. If you piss me off, I'll ask my father to buy the hospital!" Anna screamed at him.

Hobart was left speechless. He couldn't figure out if Anna was indeed as silly as she appeared to be at the moment. Charles was the boss of this hospital and she was certainly aware of that fact. What was the point of mentioning her father when he apparently could not measure up to Charles?

"Okay, okay, whatever. I wish someone could buy this hospital. I'm already old and I can't work here for a few years more. Just buy it if you want. I won't lose any hair worrying about it." After saying that, Hobart waved his hand dismissively and threatened, "It's either you leave, or I do."

Anna loudly stamped her feet with hatred and gave in.

"It's not a big deal. You stay. I'll leave now."

After that, she turned around and walked out.

Before she could leave, Hobart banged his pen on the desk and said, "You are still young but already have a bad temper. You have been spoiled rotten by your parents. It's outrageous."

Anna then went home in a rage, her anger pent up.

As soon as she entered the living room, she saw that David was not at home. She picked up the cup on the table and with all the force she could muster, threw it on the ground to release her anger.

The loud noise made by the shattering cup startled the servants. "Miss..."

"Get out! I don't want to see any of you! Get out of here! " Anna shrieked at the top of her lungs.

Although the servants had been used to her hysteria, they were still a little scared when they saw her fury at this moment.

"You, stop!"

Just as the servants left one after another, Anna suddenly stopped the last servant to leave the room.

"Ah, miss, what can I do for you?" the maid asked nervously.

"Use your phone to call my father. Tell him that I'm going to commit suicide and hang myself. And go find me a rope now!" Anna ordered sternly.

"Miss, stop! You can't do this. You can't kill yourself. Please don't talk nonsense!" the servant advised her although she was frightened.

"Stupid! I'm just giving my father a scare! Do you really think I'm seriously going to commit suicide and die? Go get me the rope now!" "Okay, miss!" The servant hurriedly ran out to find a rope.

David was in a meeting when he received a call from the servant. Upon hearing what she reported, he almost jumped up from his chair and ordered, "Keep an eye on her. I'll go back immediately!"

Anna tied the rope on her neck and asked the servant to bring a chair for her to step on. "Don't come over. When my father arrives, I'll stretch my head into the rope and buckle it. You guys keep an eye on me and don't let anything happen to me. If you really let me be strangled to death, I won't let you off even if I die!"

"Yes, My Lady!" the servants chimed as they had no choice but to obey Anna's order.

Ten minutes later, the silence was interrupted by the sudden sound of a car screeching to a full stop in the courtyard.

Anna knew that David had arrived by then.

She watched as David get out of the car. When he was about to run into the living room, Anna gritted her teeth and prepared herself for the drama she wanted to create. She put her head into the rope.

"What are you waiting for? Shout! You guys get his attention!" Anna roared.

And so the servants immediately pretended to be in panic and shouted, "Sir, come here, Her Ladyship has hanged herself!
