The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 311

Charles, trying to suppress his anger, clenched his fists and pursed his lips.

Charles felt that Edward had blatantly invaded his territory, and he even seemed smug about it. His anger flared, and he snorted with derision.

"Mr. Fu, calm down. I don't think Edward is a bad guy. Maybe he is just a friend of Nancy. Besides, the kids like him, and he isn't doing anything suspicious,” Hiram advised.

"How do you know?” said Charles, turning his fierce gaze towards Hiram.

"I... I guessed it!" Hiram swallowed and said.

"You guessed it? Humph!” Charles snorted again and was ready to go to the restaurant.

When he entered the room and saw Edward looking at Nancy with so much passion that his eyes had metaphorical stars in them, his heart burned with jealousy. The flame of jealousy in his heart even threatened to burn his entire body.

Hiram stopped him in a hurry, "Mr. Fu, don't be impulsive. Think about it. Is it appropriate for you to go in rashly? They are having a meal. You shouldn't disturb them, right? Even if you hate Edward, you shouldn't involve the innocent kids. It's late now. The kids must be hungry; otherwise, they would have already gone home." "Then what should I do?" Charles shouted with brows furrowed in anger.

"Let’s just watch for now. If they don't go home, then we can take some action," Hiram said in a hushed and cautious tone.

"Okay!" Charles opened the door and sat in the driver's seat.

He didn't turn on the light. Instead, he lit a cigarette and smoked deeply. Squinting his eyes, he looked at the people who were laughing happily and having a hearty meal in the restaurant.

Nancy didn't expect that Charles would come, so she kept talking and laughing with Edward. She didn't propose to leave until the children were full.

The children got along well with Edward. When they walked out of the restaurant, they held his hands. To any passerby, they looked like the perfect family.

This scene was like slow-burn torture for Charles.

To say Hiram was the only reason Charles still hadn't gotten out of the car and beaten Edward wasn't wrong. In simple words, Hiram was the only reason Charles was still making rational decisions.

At this time, Nancy and the children had entered the car and sat in the backseat while Edward took the driver's seat.

Then, he drove them to the hotel.

"I want to know everything about this Edward guy," said Charles as his eyes dropped and his lips turned down.

"Okay, I'll ask someone to run a check, right away." Looking at the Charles' furious face, Hiram didn't dare to delay for a moment. He immediately ordered his men to gather every piece of info they could find on Edward.

In mere minutes, his men replied, "Edward Wu, second son of the Wu family. Open-minded and smart. Got his doctorate from Harvard in psychiatry and clinical medicine at the age—''

"Stop it!" Charles interrupted, no longer interested in hearing about Edward.

Every single merit of Edward was a threat to Charles. He believed in the adage, "Greater the merits: greater the threat."

"Well, yeah." Hiram put away his phone and said, "He is an excellent man, sir."

"What? So you think he is better than me?" Charles said, irritated that even his subordinates were singing Edward's praises.

Hiram quickly shrank his neck in fright. He made an immediate decision to never talk about Edward in front of Charles.

Charles was like a land mine, right now. Even the slightest touch of a sensitive topic might set him off, and he just might vent his exploded anger on Hiram.

Hiram carefully drove the car and followed Nancy.

Soon, they arrived at the hotel.

Nancy and Edward got out of the car, and he went to pick his luggage. After that, Nancy and the children followed him into the hotel, laughing and chatting the entire time.

Hiram peeped at Charles from the corner of his eyes.

When Charles saw Nancy and the kids happily following Edward, his face darkened, and he felt like killing somebody.

Charles could no longer stand this mental torture. So, he speed-dialed Nancy. "Nancy, it's getting late. Why don't you take the children and come home?"

"Yes, we are on our way home now. If you are sleepy, you can sleep first. We will be back soon." Hearing her cheerful voice, Charles knew that she was enjoying every second of this trip.

How could Nancy deceive him for Edward?
