The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 326

"Yes, Edward had always liked exercising," Nancy said, smiling fondly at him.

"It's rare to find a man who likes to exercise! You picked a good husband!" The saleslady assumed Edward and Nancy were a couple and smiled at them.

"I agree, I also think Nancy has good taste. Right, Nancy?" Edward agreed, stopping Nancy from correcting the saleslady. He grinned at the saleslady and continued to play along.

"Yes, Edward is right!"

Nancy resigned, not wanting to explain either. With a casual smile, she asked, "Can you please pack it for me?"

"Of course, please come and visit us again!" The saleslady beamed, pleased that she made a great sale. She quickly packed the clothes.

Edward handed over his card to pay for the items.

After they finished shopping, Nancy was eager to leave and go home.

Before she had a chance to tell him that she wanted to leave, he grabbed her hand and walked her over to a women's boutique.

"Edward, it's fine! I have a lot of clothes!" she protested. Every time she opened her wardrobe, there would be a new set of clothing, with a variety of styles and luxury brands, without her even knowing.

She had many pieces that she hadn't even worn yet.

The clothes were always gifted to her by Charles. Sometimes, it felt like he loved her sincerely, the way he lavished her with gifts.

The problem with Charles was that he showed his affection in extremes, sometimes too hot, sometimes too cold.

“What's wrong? You don't like it? Do you only accept gifts from other people?" He pouted, pretending to be angry.

"It's not like that, Edward. Don't say those things." She nudged his arm playfully.

Charles looked at Nancy's lovely face and frowned, feeling uncomfortable.

He didn't like the idea of her smiling for any other man but him.

Sitting in his car, he squinted as he took a drag from his cigarette.

He could never get used to the idea of Nancy spending so much time with Edward.

Edward was like an older brother to Nancy, and she relied on him as a child relied on their father.

Charles could understand that much. Nancy grew up alone and never got the chance to experience the love that came from family.

'Nancy, I love you. We belong together. The love between husband and wife can't compare to the love between friends. Why can't you see that?’

Charles thought to himself, sighing in defeat. He remembered suddenly that Nancy never bought him clothes. It was always him who gifted her with clothing.

As he watched Nancy walking around with Edward, his heart sank and filled with jealousy.

He continued to watch them, thinking that Nancy should buy him some clothing some other time.

Resisting the urge to get out of the car, he gripped the steering wheel tightly and frowned at them.

Knowing that Edward once helped Nancy, he tried to control his anger.

He saw Nancy and Edward smiling at each other, clearly at ease with one another.

The sight of them flustered Charles.

Tonight, he decided he would tell Nancy how he truly felt.

'Nancy, I want you by my side forever. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I’ll keep you next to me and do whatever it takes to make that happen,¹ he thought.

Edward had brought over several pieces for Nancy to try on. She tried them on happily, twirling in front of the dressing mirror.

It was clear she was charmed by Edward, making Charles feel incompetent. He realized that he had always been focused on the result, but never paid attention to the small details.

Only asking his secretary to buy clothing for her, he didn 't realize the happiness she would feel trying them on for herself.

No wonder she favored Edward!

Edward and Nancy walked out of the boutique arm in arm.

"Edward, we've been shopping for a while now, I think it 's time for us to go back," Nancy suggested with a smile.
