The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 344

"I never said that! Of course, it would be difficult!" Nancy tried to say jokingly, to appease Charles.

Instead, she sounded stiff and reluctant.

She smoothed her hair with a helpless sigh.

Charles was unsatisfied with her answer, and continued driving, feeling dejected.

Wanting to comfort him, Nancy opened her mouth to say something, but couldn't find the right words to say.

Did she love him?

No, she couldn't tell him out loud.

"Charles, I've been worried about my father. I'm fine now, but how about you let Jill and Fannie go home?" she suggested in a low voice.

"Those women are evil. If I let them go, they might hurt you again. Aren’t you afraid of them?" Charles asked indifferently.

"It'll be fine. Besides, I have you to protect me, right?" Nancy asked in a soft voice, smiling coyly at him.

Charles was pleased to hear her speak to him like this.

"Are you sure you want to let them go?" If Jill and Fannie were released, he was almost certain that they would pose a threat to Nancy.

As long as they were far away, he could rest assured that Nancy would be safe.

However, it seemed that Nancy was determined to let them go.

Not wanting to displease her, Charles obliged.

"Yes." Nancy nodded in confirmation.

She was more concerned about her father's safety than her own.

"Okay," he agreed. He immediately called Hiram and asked him to bring Jill and Fannie home.

"Thank you," Nancy said sincerely.

"Don't worry about it. We're family now."

"Now?" she questioned. "We're not family yet!" she protested in a serious voice.

"We will be," he answered back, looking into the distance.

This time around, he would marry her no matter what, even if he had to fight against his mother.

Charles and Nancy approached the sanatorium.

Jade was informed by the nurse that Nancy would be marrying Charles.

She felt like the happiest person in the world.

"Auntie, your daughter will be married to Mr. Fu soon. You'll have a comfortable life in the future!" the nurse said as she came in this morning.

"Real... Really?" Jade stammered in excitement.

She remembered that Charles had driven Nancy to see her at the sanatorium last time. They announced to her that they were going to be engaged. She heard no further news of their engagement. Were they going to get married already?

Jade couldn't wrap her head around it. Everything was happening too fast.

"Of course it's true! Why would I lie to you?" The nurse pulled out her phone and read the news to Jade.

With tearful eyes, Jade said, "It is true, but... Nancy is my daughter. Why didn’t she tell me that she was going to get married?"

The nurse gently rubbed Jade's shoulder and said, "Auntie, I'm sure she’ll tell you soon. Just wait and see. Your daughter will come and visit you soon. I'm sure your son-in-law will come as well!"

Jade smiled to herself.

"You're right," she nodded.

The Fu's were a prominent family. She was certain that the news of their marriage had to be true.

Jade checked again and again for news of their marriage.
