The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 380

Upon hearing that familiar voice, Doris immediately turned her head.

'Auntie?

Didn't I already leave? How could I still see her face?

Am I dreaming right now?' she thought, rubbing and squinting her eyes in an attempt to better check her sight.

However, a clear image of Felix's mother, smiling with her bright eyes, was really flashing before her.

"Oh, auntie, hadn't I left? Why am I lying here?" Doris moved her body subconsciously, causing the bed to creak.

"Yes, Felix drove you home, but you suddenly fainted, so he brought you back. How are you feeling now?" the old woman asked in a low voice.

Doris tried to recall what happened, but her head suddenly throbbed in pain.

More than that, her mind was full of memories from her tragic past, and as much as she wanted to brush them off her head, she could not.

That small village she had lived in, Samuel Liang, and her father—all of them haunted her mind. And at that sudden recollection, Doris hugged herself in horror.

"I didn't hit anyone. Samuel has nothing to do with me! Don't catch me. Please!" she shouted hysterically as a dreadful look of fright painted her pale face.

Upon seeing this, Felix's mother was caught flabbergasted, and for a while, she was frozen to her

feet.

The past was still a thorn in Doris' memory and seeing people that reminded her of those tragic happening triggered the pain that she had been trying to conceal for years.

"Doris, no one will hurt you now. You have me and Felix to protect you. If Felix begged the Liang family to spare you before, he would definitely fight them to death now. Don't worry!" The doting aunt held Doris' hands tightly and added, "Don't worry, my dear. No one will dare to lay a finger on you."

"Where is Felix?" After calming down, the latter now asked in a softer tone, surveying the room with her eyes.

"It seems that someone is here," her auntie said instead of answering her question. Then, the old woman stood up and uttered, "I'll go and have a look."

However, before she could even walk out, Doris hurriedly got out of bed and grabbed her arm, "Auntie, I'll go."

"Oh, alright. But be careful!" the old woman reminded with a hint of worry in her voice.

"It's okay. I can walk." Although her body was still a little weak, Doris could already feel her legs.

So without hesitating, she walked towards the door and saw Felix.

"Felix..." she called, ignoring the man who stood beside her childhood sweetheart.

"Oh, thank God you're safe, honey," Jay praised and immediately wrapped his wife in a tight embrace.

However, Doris didn't move and instead stared blankly at what was in front of her.

"Honey, what's wrong?" Jay could see his wife's strange eyes piercing him with so much unfamiliarity.

And it was not only him who noticed this. Even Felix, who was also confused, furrowed his brows tightly. Both men stared at her with bewildered eyes as they waited for her to speak.

After a while, Doris asked slowly, "Who are you?"

And that short question left them in utter disbelief.

How could she not know her own husband?

Jay was speechless upon hearing that. And with his mouth agape, he surveyed her from head to foot, trying to convince himself that it was not Doris who stood before her. However, the reality was too clear to ignore that it was indeed his wife.

"Doris, it's me, Jay, your husband! How can you not know me? Come on! Stop playing tricks on me. Let’s go home!" Although Jay chuckled to make the atmosphere lighter, deep down, he almost trembled in fear and worry.

And much to his fright, Doris veered away from him and instead moved closer to Felix.

"Doris?" Jay's face was grim, and his lips were pressed into a thin line.

'Does she love her childhood sweetheart and not me? Is what Felix said true?!'

he thought, gnashing his teeth as he stared at the two.
