A chill ran down Doris' spine. 'Where is he at this late time?' she wondered.

It couldn't be that Jay was an owl. Why did he go out at night? What was he doing outside at this hour?

After all, an owl came out to look for food at night. Why did Jay sleep during the day and go out at night?

This question almost drove Doris crazy. She took out her phone and dialed Jay’s number.
