The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 683

"Bobby, why do you keep making trouble?" Charles scolded him.

"No! I'm telling the truth. Aunt Brandy is so kind and considerate. She should understand how kids feel, right?" Bobby answered, looking at Brandy.

"Bobby is right. Kids will feel uncomfortable if they see grown-ups quarrel with each other. We're adults. We should be more sensitive around children, so I think it's best if I resign," Brandy said with an embarrassed smile.

Without answering, Charles turned to look at Nancy. "Tell me, did you come up with this idea?"

Nancy was stunned. "Me? Why would I do that? I went to the operating room as soon as I arrived at work. Why would I discuss that matter with the children? Charles, get a hold of yourself. Are you still drunk and stuck in yesterday?"

"Nancy," Charles said sternly.

If Brandy leaves, Nancy would benefit the most from it. She was the one who wanted her out the most.

The kids couldn't have done such a ridiculous thing without someone else's orders.

"Daddy, we came here by ourselves. It was Bobby who asked me to come here. He said that you and Mommy could be together only when Aunt Brandy was not here. I believe him, so I came here with him. Is it true, Daddy?" Nadia asked while playing with her toy bear.

"Nadia, Bobby, why would you do that? Oh, Aunt Brandy is here to treat some patients. Go greet her, you two." Brandy's arrival caught Nancy off guard, but she really didn't care if she was there or not."

If there were more doctors, they would be able to accommodate more patients. Brandy's presence would really lighten her and Jessie's workload. Deep inside, Nancy really didn't want Brandy to leave.

She couldn't care less if she was the director or not.

"I'm sorry, Nancy. I know my arrival has caused you a lot of trouble. I hope you can persuade Charles to accept my resignation. I've made up my mind, so don't try to stop me. Thank you very much." Brandy smiled and shrugged. "I'll write a resignation letter later. That's all."

With a frown, Charles looked at Nancy and asked resentfully, "Nancy, this is what you wanted, right? Are you satisfied now?"

"Charles, I've already told you, I didn't know that the kids were looking for Director Brandy before, and I didn't know until now. Why are you upset with me? I know you don't like me, and I know that you hate seeing me. So, I quit, okay?" Although Nancy couldn't afford to lose this job, her emotions got the best of her.

She regretted it as soon as she finished her words. She bit her lips and looked at Charles angrily.

Her eyes were now welling with tears.

"Stop fighting. It’s not good for the children to see it. Director Nancy is a good doctor. How can she leave? The hospital needs Nancy here. Charles, how can you be angry with her? Look, you're scaring the kids!" Brandy said helplessly.

"Alright then. Brandy, don't give me that resignation letter. I won't accept it,'¹ Charles said stubbornly.

"You're so arrogant!" Bobby said to him.

"Do you still have anything to say?" Charles shot back.

Without speaking, Bobby just shrugged her shoulders.

Nancy then turned around and walked out. Understandably, she was upset that Charles had accused and doubted her.

The situation was quite uncomfortable for her.

However, Brandy's attempt to resign gave her some inspiration. Since she was finding it difficult to work with Brandy, it might be a good option for her to leave.

She would resign and Brandy would stay.

Charles didn't really want her around anyway.

But what about Nana?

If she left, how would she look after her?

"Daddy, Mommy left," Nadia said timidly, looking at Nancy's receding figure.
