The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 687

Everyone laughed at Fannie, eyeing her menacingly as if she just uttered the biggest joke.

"How would I know? Humph! Why are you asking me?" Fannie still held on and refused to admit that she had done something wrong.

The police weren't interested to answer those questions either.

Meanwhile, both Charles and Nancy knew nothing about this. The two were still in a state of cold war, giving each other the silent treatment.

The next morning, Nancy had breakfast just like the usual and headed straight to work.

Charles still sent the children to the kindergarten before going to the office.

Although they were still in a fight, both tried to be civil and casual in front of the children. But once they were left alone, a dead silence fell on them, with neither wanting to talk first.

"Oh, Brandy is still in the hospital. So, our plan failed?" Nadia asked disappointedly.

"At least we warned Brandy. She'd better keep a distance from Daddy while we're here," uttered Bobby, furrowing his brows tightly.

"What do you think?" Nadia thought for a while and asked, "Does Daddy really like Brandy?" "It's hard to say. So, we have to be vigilant and never allow any woman to take him away!" Bobby answered firmly, tightening his knuckles.

"I agree, but what should we do? We already made Mommy and Daddy mad when we sneaked out of the kindergarten yesterday. We can't run out again, or else Daddy will get mad even more." Nadia shook her head and pressed her palm on her chin, trying to think of a solution.

"Well, I won't run away. But we can't just sit here and let other women get close to Daddy! Come on, Nadia. You’ re my little sister! How could you be so calm?" With a gloomy expression, Bobby eyed his sister intently.

"I don't know what to do too!" Nadia replied, now slightly frustrated too.

Speechless, Bobby's face turned even more gloomy. "Well, Nadia, you are not just stupid, but very very stupid!

"Let's go. What are you two whispering about?" Charles' cold voice disturbed the two with their intense glaring showdown.

They both stuck out their tongues in irritation before hurrying to catch up to their father.

Meanwhile, Nancy arrived at the hospital. As soon as she was done with her initial rounds on the wards, she saw Jill running towards her way.

'What is she doing here?'

she thought and prepared to turn around, but Jill had already caught sight of her.

"Nancy, my good daughter..." her stepmother said breathlessly.

'Good daughter? How dare her to call me that?' Nancy thought, feeling sick in her stomach.

"What do you want? I'm working," she uttered indifferently, not even bothering to look at her.

"I know. But something happened to Fannie, and she was taken away by the police. Please help her! No matter what conflicts you had in the past, she is still your sister and your family. You can't just stand by and do nothing!" The way Jill held her trembling hands together and begged showcased how anxious she was.

Last night, Jill sulked and sat still, thinking about her ten million. She didn't dare to tell Clark as it was such an embarrassment on her part.

Then, time went by while she waited for Fannie. However, hours passed and her daughter still hadn't come back from the dinner party.

Exhausted, Jill eventually fell asleep.

But this morning, when she woke up, she received a call from the police, informing her that Fannie was taken into custody.

Utterly frightened, Jill lost all her strength and almost fell on the ground. "What did she do?"

She initially thought that her daughter robbed someone.

"Well, we don't know yet. Let's talk about it later when you get here." The policeman hung up the phone, leaving Jill so scared that she burst into tears.
