The Adorable Twin’s Sticky Daddy novel Chapter 701

Jay did not want to let down Eva, yet he could not give her false hopes either.

"You may leave now," Eva said with glee.

Jay simply nodded as he made his way out of Eva's room.

On his way out Jay saw Pam, standing idly in the hallway.

"Mrs. Su, I'm leaving." Jay spoke in a deep and polite manner.

"Will you visit Eva again?" Pam's voice was choked with sobs.

"Mrs. Su, do you want me to visit her again?" Jay asked.

Pam shook her head and then nodded. "I never wanted you around Eva, but she truly looks happy around you. Forthat reason, I hope you can visit her often. But as a mother, I want what's best for my daughter. Do you understand what I'm saying, Jay?"

"Mrs. Su, I understand. I am sorry." Jay felt a jolt of sadness strike his heart. In that moment, he truly wanted to apologize to Pam.

Deep inside, Jay knew it was all his fault.

However, there was nothing he could do.

”1 don't want your apology, Jay. Don't come here ever again, please. I'm afraid that having you around would bring demise to Eva and to our whole family as well," Pam pleaded.

Pam might be a tough businesswoman, yet she was also a mother. She couldn't help but cry in front of Jay.

"Understood. I promise to stay away from Eva, Mrs. Su," Jay said in a tender voice.

He fully understood where Pam was coming from.

Before he made his way outside of the house, Jay turned to look at Eva's room.

She was singing a song. The song gave the man a serene sense of nostalgia.

That was the song Jay used to sing to Eva when they were together.

Sadness filled the man's heart. Jay found himself rushing downstairs, overwhelmed with emotions.

It felt as if the music followed him, eventually turning lame and desolate.

Jay staggered out of the Su family house. Somehow, he felt limp.

He was hearing things. He knew Eva's soft voice very well, yet her singing sounded gloomy and shrill. He became utterly disoriented.

He had hoped that running would take him away from reality. Jay wanted to escape Eva.

'She couldn't stand up for the rest of her life, could she?'

Jay grieved sorely. Tears streamed down his face as he drove away.

He drove past the speed limit. Fortunately, there were little to no cars on the road at midnight.

If things were different, Jay could have ended in a hospital instead of his home.

Doris had just finished a conversation with Charles. She was evidently uneasy.

She was half asleep when she heard a car drive inside the courtyard. She wrapped a coat around her and hurriedly went downstairs to meet Jay.

She was surprised to find Jay so helpless.
