Yente Yiskah was brought elsewhere to recover. The Sect Leader of the Cloud Race and its Elders left as well, reverting the hall into its previous silent state.
James took in all of this in the dark. From this incident, he understood that the Cloud Race was facing some troubles, causing a number of them to bear injuries. Only a handful of them like the Sect Leader and the core Elders were not involved in the battle. If they participated, that could only mean that the survival of the Cloud Race was at stake.
James thought long and hard as to how to find the whereabouts of the keys. Yente’s position within Mount Ethereal must be rather high. Now that she was injured, it would be the best opportunity for him to acquire some essential information from her.
With this thought in mind, James left silently.
Yente’s space for recovery was a hidden chamber within Mount Ethereal, a house made of stones. There were some mystical inscriptions and characters engraved on the walls of the stone house.
Yente was sitting in a lotus position on the grasslands. She had already changed into a white dress and cleaned herself up. Blood was no longer visible on her skin. Her figure was attractive, and her looks were seductive. It was just that she looked slightly pale, and blood leaked out of her lips’ corners from time to time. This was obviously because she sustained some very serious internal injuries that were beyond her healing powers.
A mystical power materialized from her body and spread across her. A white light materialized from her, causing her to look divine from afar.
James appeared at the hidden chamber without a sound. He hid himself somewhere far away, focussing his gaze on Yente. He observed Yente’s aura and found out that Yente’s power exceeded the Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God Rank, but she had yet to attain the Acme Rank. He estimated that Yente’s power was only slightly weaker than his.
He then set up a Formation to bar all other auras from entry before appearing abruptly before Yente.
“Who’s there?” Yente stood up immediately, wanting to attack.
But before she could do that, James had already made a move, giving her a hard slap.
Yente was injured from the start. Her current capacity was less than one-tenth of her peak form, making her an unworthy opponent of James. She was sent backward by one hit, and her back slammed squarely on the wall behind her.
This wall was very special, enveloped by which was a Formation that maintained its structure regardless of the momentum it received.
After she hit the wall, she crashed to the ground. Before she could stand up, James uncannily appeared before her and put a seal on her.
Yente, who was now sealed, could no longer summon any powers. Her injuries worsened in an instant, and her face became as pale as a ghost. Blood emerged from her injuries, causing her to become a bloody figurine.
She lay on the ground, looking at James.
