Thanks to his rapid reaction speed, James avoided the attack easily. Blinding sword power erupted, penetrating the void, and forming a humongous black hole. The black hole was immediately recovered by mystical power.

Having just avoided that blow, another attack from Wotan charged toward James’ back.

James waved his hand casually, and the power of the Greater Paths materialized. They gathered together, forming a Sacred Blossom. Frightening energy enveloped the surroundings.

Wotan ignored the Sacred Blossom and directed his blade toward it.

Although the Sacred Blossom was powerful, James’ comprehension of the Greater Paths was merely at the Nine-Power Macrocosm Ancestral God Rank’s peak. His comprehension has yet to reach the Quasi-Acme rank, so the Blossom could not withstand Wotan’s attack. It shattered upon Wotan’s attack.

The petals formed by the Path disintegrated immediately, floating in mid-air. The scene was beautiful but deadly.

James’ summoning of the Blossoming failed to harm Wotan, but that was not the strongest of James’ tricks. Blossoming was not even one of the Supernatural Arts that he had mastered. It would only become one if he could raise his rank to that of the Quasi-Acme Rank or the Acme Rank.
