In an instant, James’ mind was flooded with countless thoughts.
Initially, he intended to quietly blend in with the Doom Race and learn all about them. However, Youri resorted to extreme measures and ordered the genocide of the Human Race throughout the Greater Realms. He could not stay hidden any longer, the time was right to reveal himself.
He stood up slowly and his bloodlust was tinged with indifference. James stepped out the back mountains. As soon as he arrived at the mountain’s front, Yemima appeared before him.
“Aren’t you supposed to be in closed door meditation? Why have you come out?” Yemima gazed at James who had emerged in front of her. A charming smile graced her face. James glanced at her but did not say much. He walked away from Mount Doom, leaving his initial spot with a single step. He reappeared at the main peak in the next moment.
“Huh?” Yemima’s face turned doubtful as she murmured, “What’s wrong with Wyot? Something’s not right with him.”
Yemima sensed that something was amiss, but she could not put her finger on what it was. Sensing that James had gone to the main peak, she wanted to know what he was up to, so she followed him there.
At the Apex Main Hall, Qimat bent his knee and reported, “Sir Youri, the major clans have not taken any action. Only some minor clans carried out our orders, but they’re merely killing weak humans with low cultivation ranks. The Human Race’s real powerhouses have already gone into hiding, and their whereabouts are unknown.”
“These old buggers,” Youri’s face darkened as he coldly said, “They only know how to act opportunistically.”
At this moment, James appeared.
Youri, who stood at the very front, gave him a glance. James approached, appearing in the main hall, cupping his fists and respectfully calling out, “Sir Youri.”
Youri slightly gestured, saying, “What’s the matter? Speak your mind.”
James asked him calmly, “I heard that you gave the order to slaughter all the humans across the Greater Realms.”
Youri nodded, “Yes, I did.”
