Wynton Yanes, the Yaneiri King.
James had been aware for some time that Wynton, Henrik and Wyot had reached the Endlos beyond the Chaos District. Nonetheless, he did not expect to encounter Wynton after he finished his current seclusion.
Wynton walked toward James, lightly tapping his chest and offering a faint smile. He spoke, “I’ve been a part of Tempris House for an epoch. It’s good to finally see you after your time in seclusion.”
“Would you all mind giving us some space?” James glanced at the others and said, “I want to catch up with an old friend.”
Reading the situation, Waleria and Saachi gracefully withdrew from the scene. In the next moment, only James and Wynton were left at the scene. They settled upon the rocks of the rear mountain.
“It feels like an eternity since we last parted,” Wynton sighed, unable to even remember how many epochs had elapsed since they last saw each other.
“I’m indebted to you for sparing my life back then. Otherwise, I would’ve met my end within the Projection Illusion,” James expressed gratefully.
While Wynton had emerged victorious in their previous battle, he chose not to deal a lethal blow, granting James a chance to overcome the trial. Otherwise, James would have succumbed to death within the confines of the Projection Illusion.
“Let’s not dwell on the past,” Wynton said, waving his hand gently.
“By the way,” James spoke, “In history, the Yaneiri Clan existed for only a fleeting moment. They existed so briefly that even common living beings were unaware of them. Only a few fragmented records exist in ancient books. What happened to the Yaneiri Clan after that?”
Upon hearing these words, Wynton’s expression turned grave. He took a deep breath before slowly explaining, “I’ve dedicated my time to researching the Sky Burial all these years. Even after you escaped from the Projection Illusion, I persisted in my studies. Before long, I uncovered certain truths about the Sky Burial. This ultimately led to the sealing of the Yaneiri Clan.”
“Why?” James looked at him, perplexed. While he now possessed a basic comprehension of the truth behind the Sky Burial, freezing the Yaneiri Clan appeared to be an unnecessary step. He wondered who was responsible for sealing the Yaneiri Clan.
