James immediately sensed the danger. He grabbed Wynton and cast the Blithe Omniscience to escape. Unfortunately, their opponent was a powerhouse at the Quasi Chaos Rank. Even the powerful Blithe Omniscience was unable to escape her grasp.
James and Wynton were surrounded by a powerful force and dragged back into the hall.
Boom!
They fell to the floor.
Zula descended from her seat and looked at them condescendingly. Then, she said disdainfully, “Are you two responsible for destroying my sect’s bases? You two are disciples from the Verde Academy, right? Why would the Headmaster of the Verde Academy send such trash to infiltrate our headquarters?”
James was clueless about how they exposed themselves. However, he could only try to deny it.
“I’ve no idea what you’re talking about, madam. What do you mean we destroyed your sect’s bases? I didn’t know your sect has other bases. We merely heard about the Tarbitha Sect and wanted to join.”
Wynton agreed, saying, “Yeah, it’s as he explained.”
“You still don’t want to admit it?” Zula sneered.
She raised her hand, and powerful force emitted from her fingertips.
James knew he could not resist her power and would surely die. He frantically said, “Wait. I’ll tell you everything.”
Zula dissipated her power and returned to the hall’s highest seat. Then, she waved her hand, removing the seals placed on them. She was not worried about them escaping again since catching them was a piece of cake.
James’ appearance gradually returned to normal. He looked at Zula, sitting in the highest seat, looking at them with a nonchalant expression. Then, he said, “I’m James Caden, the Tempris House’s Head.”
“Pfft!!!” Zula burst out laughing. She looked at James and mocked, “Is the Verde Academy’s Headmaster blind? Why did he choose such a weak cultivator like you as the Tempris House’s Head?”
