The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 114

Isaac placed the thermos next to the bed and turned to Brittany.

"Brittany, how do you plan to deal with Patrina?"

Patrina was still at the police station. With a little effort from Isaac, she would be in deep shit.

But he guessed that Brittany might prefer to handle this herself.

"I plan to sue her," Brittany said.

Patrina had been a constant thorn in her side, so naturally, she wasn't going to let her off the hook easily.

Isaac seemed to have guessed that she would choose to sue. Seeing her down in the dumps, he figured she was still pissed. So he took out a fancy box from his pocket and pushed it in front of Brittany.

"What's this?" Brittany asked.

"Just open it," Isaac said.

Brittany took the box and found a watch inside. It was a creamy white watch with a circle of small diamonds around it and a large diamond in the center, like the moon surrounded by stars.

Brittany, a jewelry designer, had an exceptional eye for jewelry. Even though she didn't know much about watches, she could tell it was an expensive piece, something Isaac couldn't afford.

"Did you buy this?" Brittany asked.

Isaac said a little embarrassingly, "I said some things I shouldn't have. This is my apology."

"This is too expensive." Brittany shook her head. She didn't like wearing watches, and their relationship wasn't that deep. Giving such an expensive gift wasn't appropriate.

Seeing Brittany's reluctance, Isaac suddenly said, "It's a knockoff."

"What?" Brittany asked, surprised, "A knockoff?"

"Yep,." Isaac said calmly.

In reality, he had spent a fortune on this watch because he thought Brittany might like it. But now he was claiming it was a knockoff!

He was just glad that this model rarely appeared in magazines and not many people knew about it, so his lie wouldn't be easily exposed.

"But it looks so exquisite—" Brittany still had some doubts.

"I have a friend who's in the business. He said it's a knockoff." Isaac added, worried she might take offense at receiving a fake, "I'm not loaded, so I could only afford this. When I'm richer, I'll get you a better one."

Brittany looked into his apologetic eyes, and her anger began to subside.
