Finn was at a loss for words as he looked at her. It was clear as daylight who had betrayed who.
He didn't want to admit that he had betrayed Brittany. He tried to use the pressure of public opinion to force Brittany into submission.
"Bri, I won't blame you for your past. If you come back, I'll marry you."
The Boulton family had previously disagreed with their marriage because Brittany didn't have a high status in the family.
But now, with another daughter of the Dustin family, Patrina, facing jail time, the future of the Dustin family rested solely on Brittany.
Plus, Brittany's current job situation was pretty sweet.
Finn thought he had already apologized. Brittany was now divorced, but he didn't mind, she had no reason to refuse him.
Brittany knew that Finn was a selfish man. Despite knowing the truth, he made her take the blame.
He even portrayed himself as a faithful lover.
When Finn saw Brittany smile, he had a bad feeling. Sure enough, the next second–
"Finn, we broke up because you betrayed me first. What right do you have to argue with me?"
"Brittany, what nonsense are you talking about? This is slander. Apologize, or I'll have you thrown in jail!"
Sherry yelled angrily, apparently wanting to heap all the blame on Brittany.
Finn played the victim.
"Bri, we both know the truth. Just apologize, and I'll marry you..."
Brittany chuckled, "Alright."
Finn was stunned. He didn't expect Brittany to agree so readily. He was touched, knowing that Brittany still loved him!
It's alright, once they’re married, he would make up to Brittany.
"Since it's an apology, it should be sincere," Brittany's eyes sparkled, with her face full of smiles.
Next second–
Smack!
The sound of crisp slaps echoed on Sherry's face. Brittany shook her numb hand, "Satisfied?"
