The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 156

William made some small talk, then asked, "How's the patient doing?"

"Not too shabby; doc said he'll be out in a few days."

William decided not to dig any deeper into the details; instead, he switched to the topic of the business trip and casually asked, "How's your studio doing? Any plans for the future?"

Everyone knew Brittany was a force to be reckoned with and now she was the talk of the town.

Brittany was a generous boss with a fat paycheck to boot. The rumor was that lots of people were eyeing her studio.

"I'm thinking about expanding."

Brittany had her own vision for her studio. She wanted to make her own brand, and if it was a long-term strategy, she hoped to take it international, even branching out into new territories.

William was rather impressed by this.

The two chatted happily about business, and before they knew it, the day had turned into evening.

"Where is she?"

Isaac had been going through some paperwork for two hours now.

Brittany was still not back.

Seeing Isaac's sour face, Nathan quickly said, "Mr. Salter, hold up; I'll go find Ms. Dustin for you."

Isaac gave him a frosty look, like he was saying, you should've gone looking for her ages ago.

Just then, the door to the room opened, it was the doctor.

"Mr. Salter."

He and Isaac were old pals, and seeing his expression, he asked, "Ms. Dustin's not here?"

The doctor and Isaac were old buddies; he even added a bit of humor to his question.

Brittany had been by Isaac’s side for the past few days. Could he handle her not being around today?

"Ms. Dustin's out."

"Seems like I wasn't seeing things." The doctor started packing up his stuff.

"What do you mean by that?"

Isaac asked coldly, "Where did you see her?"

The doctor pretended to be shocked, "What, you didn't know? Ms. Dustin is out in the garden chatting with a friend."

A friend?

Isaac immediately thought of William; did he come?
