"I came to visit a friend in the hospital."
Upon seeing him in a patient's gown, William furrowed his brows, "What's up with you?"
"No biggie, just a minor injury." Isaac looked around, not seeing Brittany anywhere, and his anxiety increased.
"Have you seen a young girl around here?"
"Mr. Salter, I just got a call. Donna Dustin fainted at home and was rushed to the hospital." Nathan approached him with the news after taking a call.
Isaac's face changed instantly, "Take me there immediately."
Donna Dustin was ill. No wonder Brittany wasn't in the garden.
Nathan greeted William and helped Isaac up, "Mr. Salter, let's get going."
Isaac turned to him, "Is it serious?"
"She's in critical condition."
Nathan was taken aback. Donna Dustin's condition deteriorated unexpectedly. Just a few days ago, she was fine and then suddenly she fainted.
Isaac quickened his pace. He knew that Brittany was very close to her grandmother and must be worried now. He had to be by her side.
He walked briskly, but the wound on his waist started to throb.
But he didn't have time to worry about it. When he arrived at the emergency room, he saw Brittany standing in the hallway. Despite the hustle and bustle around her, she seemed to be in another world, her body tense and her face pale.
Her grandmother had collapsed at home and was taken to the hospital after being found by the maid.
Her condition was unknown.
Brittany was full of regret. She had left her grandmother in Imperial City but hadn't stayed with her. She wasn't even the first to know that her grandmother had fainted.
Isaac quickly walked over and hugged her, "Bri."
Brittany instinctively hugged him back, looking up at him with red eyes, "Zakky, will Granny be okay?"
She blamed herself for not taking good care of her granny.
Isaac was also distressed, "It's not your fault, Bri. This was something none of us could have predicted. Try to calm down for now; the doctors will bring us good news."
