The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 190

"Roger that." Brittany and Hannah were deep in their online home decor browsing session, chatting up a storm.

Isaac was less than pleased. Usually, he'd get a kiss from Brittany, and they'd exchange sweet nothings, but not now.

He retreated to his room and contacted Nathan, "Is HR slacking off or what?"

If the workload was enough, how could Hannah possibly have time to linger here for so long?

Nathan, who was sharp as a tack, immediately caught his drift, "Mr. Salter, rest assured, I'll make sure Ms. Chester's got her hands full."

Isaac's tone was off, clearly he had a bone to pick with Ms. Chester.

Isaac hung up satisfied, booted up his computer, and got to work. Hannah, blissfully ignorant of the pile of work awaiting her, stayed chatting until past ten at night before reluctantly saying goodbye.

Brittany walked her out, and before Hannah left, Brittany gave her half of the snacks from the fridge, "Be careful on your way home, let me know when you get there."

Hannah gave a mischievous grin, "You and Mr. Salter have been thick as thieves lately, huh?"

"Zakky's been good to me." Brittany didn't dodge the topic.

"Have you guys been playing it safe?" Hannah looked at Brittany, "You're both not getting any younger, and your relationship is getting more solid. Have you thought about having kids?"

Brittany was taken aback. To be honest, she hadn't given it a thought. On one hand, their relationship just began to get stable, and it seemed too soon to discuss kids. On the other hand, she was focused on work and taking care of her grandma, and she didn't have the bandwidth for a child.

Seeing Brittany's reaction, Hannah understood, "If you're not ready, you should be safe. I gotta go."

After Hannah left, Brittany went upstairs.
