Brittany woke up, and it was already three in the afternoon. There was food prepped by Isaac in the fridge, which just needed a quick reheat.
The dress Isaac got for her was a limited edition from Chanel this year, worth a pretty penny. He'd mentioned before that he was pulling in about five to six grand a month, not too shabby in Imperial City. But this dress would probably cost him half a year's salary.
They'd just bought a house and were saving up for renovations, and this dress sure as hell wasn't cheap.
Brittany thought to herself, she'd need to have a serious chat with him when she got home tonight. Just because he had money to burn didn't mean he should, especially when they weren't exactly rolling in dough.
Even though she felt it was a waste of money, the moment Brittany put on the dress, all her complaints vanished. Isaac did have good taste. He chose a simple design that would highlight her figure. The dress was sleek and elegant, accentuating her beauty.
She took out her phone, snapped a pic, and sent it to Isaac: [Thanks for the dress, I love it. But you can't splurge like this next time.]
In the Dustin family, she'd always been treated like a maid. How could they ever afford to buy her such an expensive dress?
Isaac shot back a reply immediately: [Bri, you look stunning.]
He sent another one: [Alright, I'll keep that in mind next time.]
Next time he should let Nathan pick a dress without an obvious logo so she wouldn't find out.
Brittany was pleased, grabbed her bag, and headed out.
Hannah was already waiting for her downstairs. Her eyes were glued to Brittany the moment she saw her coming down the stairs.
After opening the car door for her, Hannah circled Brittany, "Bri, this is a limited edition Chanel, huh? You must've paid a fortune."
"Isaac bought it." Brittany replied with a sigh. "He spent half a year's salary on it. I already gave him a piece of my mind."
The dress was gorgeous, but it was too expensive. They weren't exactly loaded.
