"What gives you the right to stop us?"
Isaac clenched his fists, with a strong hostility towards William. If it wasn't for William, he wouldn't have been apart from Brittany for five years.
"Zac, you need to take a hard look at yourself."
Unable to communicate with Isaac, William walked into his room and slammed the door behind him.
Isaac stared at the closed door. The remnants of his sanity prompted him to contact Nathan Jarvis.
"Find out what went down last night. The more details, the better."
Nathan was known for his efficiency. Within ten minutes, he had given Isaac a detailed rundown of last night's events.
"Turns out Ms. Dustin was being harassed by James, so she fought back. The Palmer family and Grace joined forces to pressure her, resulting in Ms. Dustin spending a night in jail."
Nathan didn't expect that this would involve Grace.
What was Grace up to?
She used to be so kind to Ms. Dustin. How could she now conspire with outsiders against her?
"I got it."
Isaac hung up the phone and went downstairs.
...
Back at Salter Manor, he saw Grace watering flowers in the yard. She looked surprised to see him and asked, "Zac, you're back?"
Over the past five years, Isaac rarely set foot in Salter Manor.
Since the news of Brittany's death broke, he had become like a robot, working non-stop and hardly caring about anyone else.
His relationship with Grace had also become more and more distant.
"Granny, the one who hit James was Brittany. Why would you team up with the Palmer family against her?"
Grace dropped the watering can, stunned. "Bri?"
"Yes. Didn't you know?"
