"Of course I'll help you." William answered without hesitation.
"Then I'll help you too." Brittany clutched William's hand and said solemnly, "William, if you can help me without hesitation, then I'll help you too."
William kept his lips tightly closed. His pride prevented him from accepting the money from Brittany
"Bri, this is different."
"If you can't accept my help, then we can convert this money into shares." Brittany had thought it through, "I can invest in Dillion Group by turning my funds into shares based on market price. How does that sound?"
William remained silent. The Dillion family's financial condition was precarious. He had no confidence in bolstering their finances and the share price was also very low. Involving Brittany now would harm her interest for sure!
"Since Ms. Dustin insists, we'll follow her lead." Timothy Dillion had appeared outside the office at some point. He didn't expect Brittany to invest at such a critical moment. The money she offered could at least alleviate the family's financial crisis temporarily.
"Timothy." Brittany stood up.
William wanted to object.
Timothy walked over to Brittany, "Ms. Dustin, are you sure?"
"Once we invest, we're tied together. There's no turning back."
Brittany had hesitated, but she believed William's kindness towards her was worth the risk.
"I'm sure."
Timothy sighed. The Dillion family was in deep trouble. The snobs had all gone and Brittany was the only one willing to help.
"Alright."
Timothy nodded, "I was cautious about you before, and I apologize."
He glanced at William, speaking in a deep voice, "My son is a stubborn boy, but he does like you. Whether or not you two end up together, you're a benefactor to the Dillion family.”
