Nathan didn't see it coming that Isaac was playing hardball. He clearly wanted to back the Dillion family into a corner.
"The investigation is still underway; it might take a few days."
"Got it."
News of Isaac's hospitalization spread like wildfire. Shona rushed to the hospital and seeing him still wrestling with work while under the weather, she couldn't help but frown. "Mr. Salter, you're hospitalized and still dealing with work?"
Without looking up, Isaac asked, "What's up?"
Raising her eyebrows, Shona handed over an invitation, "Heard you were in the hospital; thought I'd drop by as a business partner. I heard that Ms. Dustin is now part of the Dillion family."
Despite his seemingly cold demeanor, Isaac was a crazy man. She was glad she wasn't on his radar, or she would've been flattened by him by then!
Isaac closed the file and stared at Shona coldly. Shona felt a chill down her spine and cleared her throat before asking, "Could you not look at me like that?"
She was just stating the facts. He didn't manage to tie the knot with his wife. Why take it out on her?
"Anything else aside from this?"
Shona walked to the bedside, pulling out a file, "You asked me to look into something from five years ago. Five years ago, when you had Brittany locked up, the only person she had contact with was Joie."
“Joie?” Isaac thought.
He took the file and skimmed through it. In it, Joie had had several encounters with Leda.
Joie played a big role in Brittany ending up in Leda's hands.
"What's your plan for this?" Shona couldn't wait to know how Isaac would deal with Joie.
When she was in a fake engagement with Isaac, Joie would often act arrogantly and rudely in front of her and then cry to Grace behind the scenes, making Grace feel sorry for her and putting Shona at a disadvantage.
It was a good thing she wasn't into Isaac, or having Joie as an opponent would be just her luck!
"Why should I do anything to her?"
