The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 608

Brittany had a rough night; the only thing on her mind right now was getting Daniel to school.

With the nanny not around, she quickly made two sandwiches and warmed up two cups of milk, then woke Daniel up for breakfast.

As she walked into the dining room with breakfast, she found that Daniel was already up.

He was dressed in a small black suit, looking very posh and handsome, like a little prince straight out of a comic book. His cuteness was impossible to ignore.

Daniel sniffed the aroma of the food and got up. "Mom, this smells amazing."

Brittany looked at his innocent face and smiled slightly. "Well, then, dig in. I’ll take you to school later."

"I want to drink milk."

Brittany noticed that there were only sandwiches on the table; the milk was still in the kitchen.

"Eat first; I'll get the milk."

As Brittany went into the kitchen, the doorbell rang. Daniel hopped off his chair, thinking it was Isaac, and excitedly opened the door. "Dad, is it you... Ah!"

Suddenly, there was a loud noise.

"Mom!"

A shriek echoed. Brittany rushed out of the kitchen and found Daniel on the ground. His little hand was stained with blood while covering the back of his head. He seemed to have hit his head on the shoe cabinet.

Olivia was standing outside the door, her face filled with arrogance and resentment. "Brittany, William is in the hospital because of you, and you're here with your child?"

Olivia's previous fondness for Brittany had turned into disgust.

Hospital?

Before Brittany could think about William's condition, she instinctively picked up Daniel. "Daniel, does it hurt?"

Daniel let go of his hand, and he saw the blood in his palm. He had a resilient look on his face; he was obviously in pain since his eyes were turning red, yet he was still trying to comfort Brittany.

"It's fine, Mom. It doesn’t hurt."

Brittany's eyes welled up with tears, and she picked him up. "I'll take you to the hospital."

Knowing Brittany was exhausted, Daniel didn't want her to carry him, and he struggled to stand up. "Mom, I can walk on my own."
