Isaac cast a deep glance at Brittany and turned to leave.
That afternoon, Brittany received a divorce agreement from Isaac. The agreement had been entirely rewritten. Not only had the custody of their son, Daniel, been revised, but a slew of additional clauses had also been added.
All the properties and real estate in Isaac's name were given to Brittany. Their joint marital home was also left to her.
Isaac, in essence, was left with nothing.
Brittany was taken aback.
Isaac, it seemed, had timed everything perfectly and called her, "All that I have left is now yours. Consider it my way of compensating you."
"I don't want your things…" Brittany wasn't short of money, and least of all, she didn't want anything from Isaac.
Once she accepted, it felt as if they could never untangle their lives.
The only property Isaac had left was the Radiant Residences. From the second-floor study of which, he could see most of Imperial City's nightlife. It was breathtaking.
He stood by the window, a coldness lingering in his eyes, "If you want a divorce, it'll be according to the agreement I've provided. From Monday to Friday, you'll be with Daniel. On weekends, I'll pick him up. Are you satisfied with this arrangement?"
Brittany rubbed her temples. She could guess that Daniel's departure with Leda had stirred up feelings of guilt in Isaac.
"In that case, transfer these assets to Daniel's name. I don't want them." Brittany ended the call, redrafted the divorce agreement, and sent it to Isaac.
Isaac quickly signed it, and they agreed to proceed with the divorce.
The moment they stepped out of the courthouse, Brittany felt a sense of closure to this six-year-long complex relationship.
Waiting outside was Hannah Chester. Seeing them exit, she grabbed Brittany's hand and shot Isaac a furious look. "Bri, to celebrate your divorce, I'm treating you. Let's go!"
Brittany tucked the divorce agreement into her pocket and left with Hannah. She didn't spare Isaac an extra glance.
Isaac watched her retreating figure, standing in silence for a long time.
Nathan knew about their divorce and couldn't bear to look at Isaac's profile, "Mr. Salter, why did you agree to the divorce?"
