It’s the shares in Grandeur Capital!
"I was in the dark before, and that caused you to lose all of Grandeur Capital." Brittany didn't mince her words. "These are the only shares I have, but it should be enough to give you some control."
Isaac closed the file with a snap. "I can't accept these."
"Why not?"
"At the end of the day, it was my debt to you five years ago." Isaac put down the file, took Brittany's hand, and with a deep gaze, he expressed, "I’m already more than content that you have forgiven me and granted me a chance to embark on a fresh beginning."
Issac continued, "I haven't had a moment's peace in the last five years. If giving up Grandeur Capital means getting your forgiveness, it's a win for me. "
Brittany's lips thinned as she tried to persuade him.
Having such a considerable number of shares would be a significant boost for Isaac.
"You hold on to these." Isaac embraced her, as though afraid she'd run away. "As long as you can forgive me, I'll give you anything you want."
Brittany was moved. After a long pause, she said, "Spare some time to visit my grandma with me."
Isaac's expression faltered, but he agreed instantly. "Alright."
Brittany had to give up as Isaac refused to take the files even till the end.
Isaac's company made rapid progress. In just one month, they won a project worth billions, drawing attention citywide.
At the end of the month, Brittany and Isaac took a trip to the suburbs.
Isaac, over the years, had been unable to face Donna.
His visits to the cemetery were few and far between.
On this occasion, the family of three visited, with Daniel holding a large bouquet of chrysanthemums, his eyes shadowed with sorrow.
Upon reaching the graveyard, Daniel lowered the flowers and bowed three times.
"Great-grandma, don't worry, I'll take care of mom."
Daniel's promise was heartfelt, causing Brittany's heart to ache. She patted his head. "Be a good boy, go play with the caretaker. Don't wander off."
"Okay."
