The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 882

Chapter 882

Hana stood frozen in place.

Could Isaac truly be so lacking in chivalry? He didn’t even bother to turn his head at her?

The group of men advanced, their previously thuggish demeanor melting away. “Miss, what do we do now?”

Hana was fuming. “You’re useless, probably didn’t make it look real enough!”

The men exchanged confused glances. They hadn’t even started their act!

When Isaac returned home, the main lights in the living room were off, leaving only a dim lamp on. He tiptoed in, shedding his coat, and made his way to the study.

Brittany was still awake.

“Have you eaten, Bri?”

She put down her paperwork. “I’m not hungry.”

Isaac knew she hadn’t eaten properly. He approached her, “I picked up beef stew with carrots from that soup kitchen you love. Want some? I can heat it up for you.”

Brittany had been on a bland diet for her recovery and was practically craving something with flavor.-

Her eyes lit up at the mention of beef stew with carrots. “Yes, please.”

Isaac loved seeing her so expressive, he leaned down and kissed her gently. “Just wait.”

Brittany wrapped her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss until she was lost in it.

Isaac carried Brittany to the dining table, settled her down, and poured her a glass of milk before washing some fruit for her, then he headed to the kitchen.

He stir-fried a couple of simple side dishes, but the star was the beef stew with carrots.

The beef stew with carrots from that kitchen was a family favorite. Especially for Brittany, who used to have it almost once a week, a testament to its deliciousness.

As the beef stew warmed, its unique aroma filled the kitchen.

Brittany, enticed by the smell, was drooling in anticipation.

Isaac worked swiftly and in less than fifteen minutes, he had the meal served. He had barely eaten that night and was feeling hungry himself.

They sat down, chatting and eating.

The carrots were tender and flavorful. The beef was savory but not overcooked, melting in the mouth.

Brittany polished off a small plate of green vegetables before she reluctantly put down her

utensils.

Isaac cleaned up the leftovers and tidied the kitchen.

Full and content, Brittany curled up on the couch, watching Isaac bustle about in the kitchen. She squinted her eyes, momentarily lost in a daydream.

How perfect would it be if time could just stand still at this moment?

After cleaning up, Isaac took Brittany back to their room to wash up before they finally lay down for the night.

Brittany, truly exhausted, fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The next morning, Brittany was back to her efficient self, dressed in her work attire as she headed to the studio.

Upon seeing Brittany, the receptionist teared up but dared not speak.
