Hannah thought,"Mr. Salter, ask the whole consortium if anyone isn't afraid of you?"
Knowing she wasn't speaking lightly, Isaac felt reassured and then escorted Hannah Chester back home.
Before leaving, he gave Hannah a second glance. "About this incident..."
"Don't worry, I've already spoken to Bri. A friend helped us find her, and it had nothing to do with you," Hannah assured.
"And I won't tell anyone," she quickly added.
Isaac was satisfied and drove away.
At that moment, Lionel Chester's car happened to pass through the villa area, and the two cars brushed past each other.
Lionel looked up and caught a glimpse of the man in the other car. His profile seemed familiar, but he wasn't entirely sure.
"Sir, Miss is waiting for you at the doorstep, she just got back."
"Got it, leave the car outside the gate."
Lionel got out of the car and walked over to Hannah.
"Who brought you back just now?"
Lionel hadn't noticed the car and only felt that the man looked familiar but wasn't certain.
"It was Bri's husband," Hannah replied, holding his hand. "Bri's been discharged, and I had dinner with her. Her husband brought me back."
"I see." Lionel knew that Brittany's husband was an ordinary guy, so he didn't think much of it. "Let's go home, then."
On his way back home, Isaac received a phone call.
"Zac."
The man's voice on the other end sounded weary, prompting Isaac to step on the gas, and the car shot forward.
He hung up the phone and added the caller's number to the blacklist, his eyes filled with anger that wouldn't easily subside.
By the time he arrived home, it was already eleven o'clock.
A cool breeze brushed against his face, carrying a faint scent of shower gel in the air.
Brittany had already gone to bed.
He walked to the kitchen, made a cup of coffee, and went to the balcony, taking a sip.
