The Billionaire Who Stole My Heart novel Chapter 92

Brittany was jolted awake.

She opened the door to find Grace standing there, holding a pile of veggies fresh from Salter's Estate, handing them over to her, "Bri, they're doing construction near my place and it's too darn loud. I can't sleep at all. Do you mind if I crash here for a bit?"

Grace had been hoping that Isaac would take the initiative to bring Brittany home, but he hadn't made a move. So, she decided to step in.

Brittany was taken aback by the old lady’s sudden visit. If she had given her a heads-up, she could have picked her up.

What if the old lady, who was loaded with stuff, had slipped and fallen?

Brittany took the veggies to the kitchen, then turned to the old lady and said, "Gran, it's great that you're here. Have you had breakfast yet? If not, I can whip something up."

"That sounds perfect."

Grace glanced around, not seeing Isaac anywhere, she asked, "Where's Zac?"

"He's still in bed."

Brittany glanced at the wall clock, "It's only half-past six, he usually wakes up at seven."

Grace had come early, bearing a pile of ingredients, and was sweating all over. Brittany made her a glass of juice and asked her to sit down, "Gran, hang on a bit, I'll make you some sausages and eggs."

"Sounds good, Bri. Can you add hot sauce on the sausages?"

When Grace was young, she was a big fan of spicy food.

But as she got older and her health deteriorated, the chef Isaac hired always cooked her light dishes.

She was nearly at her wit’s end with all the bland food.

"Sure thing."

While Brittany was busy in the kitchen, Grace was wandering around the room. She was surprised to find that they were sleeping in separate rooms.

She knew her grandson was ‘slow on the uptake’, but it had been nearly two months, and they were still sleeping separately!

If things were moving this slowly between them, would she even live to see her great-grandchildren?

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got, so she knocked on Isaac's door.

Isaac thought it was Brittany, woke up, rubbed his temples, and opened the door, "What's up?"

His tone was cold, he was obviously disturbed.

He didn’t like being disturbed.

Grace grabbed Isaac's ear and dragged him into the room, "You're still sleeping in separate rooms from Bri? When will I get to see my great-grandchildren?"

"Gran, when did you get here?"
