Although she's loaded, Grace was no good at dancing.
But she can watch and learn on the sly, then she can switch to doing morning dancing with the old people in the neighborhood.
Brittany thought she might not be familiar with the area, so planned to show her around the square when she got the chance.
Isaac came out, heard her words, and was stunned.
"Gran, are you really gonna live here?"
There were only two rooms here, if she stayed, wouldn't that mean he and Brittany would have to share a bedroom?
"You're not happy about it?"
Grace suddenly put down her spoon, clutching her chest and putting on a pained expression, "I know I'm old and a burden to you, but you're my grandson who I raised with my own hands, are you also disgusted with me? Fine, then I'll leave..."
She made as if to leave, then coughed weakly, "I just wanted to stay for a bit, if you're not okay with it, then I'll go. The construction site noise keeps me up at night, I'll just go back and if I can't sleep, I won't sleep, if I get sick, so be it!"
Grace's acting skills were top-notch, even Brittany was a bit taken aback.
Isaac, with a cold face, was immune to it, this trick of Grace's had been used too many times, it doesn't work anymore!
Brittany quickly pulled Grace back, shooting Isaac a stern look behind her back, "Zakky, she can stay as long as she wants, you better zip it. Gran is already not well, and the construction site is noisy, how can she bear it?
"Bri, I'm causing you trouble, I'll leave now!" Grace exaggerated, making it look like she was hurt.
She knew that Brittany can't bear to see her go!
Brittany coaxed Grace in a soft voice, promising to bring her back some cakes, and finally managed to pacify her.
Grace obediently sat down and began eating her dessert one bite at a time.
Isaac watched, baffled. When did Grace become so easy to appease? And why was Brittany glaring at him?
She had no idea how good of an actress Grace was and how many people she'd fooled with her act!
Brittany dragged Isaac into the kitchen, looking at him unhappily, "Are you on bad terms with Gran?"
"No."
Isaac rubbed his forehead, how was he supposed to tell her that Gran was just playing the victim?
And wouldn't it be awkward for them to stay in the same room?
"Why did you try to drive Gran away?"
