The Billionaire's Maid Bride novel Chapter 104

Well, there's just one truth.

Penelope lied.

Allison got home and carefully took off her dress, prepping it for the dry cleaners the next day. She'd return it to Nanette Willett when she gets the chance.

In the bathroom, warm water flowed down her cheeks.

Allison's hand touched the spot on her collarbone.

There was a bite mark, still faintly visible even under her makeup.

Her fingers trembled slightly, then her eyes snapped open.

Hot water got into her eyes, causing a sting.

This was the mark left by Lucian one night. It bled, swelled, scabbed over, and once healed, left this scar.

Her fingers trembled lightly.

The spot seemed to heat up, burning.

At tonight's banquet, they didn't interact at all. He seemed to be standing at a height she couldn't reach.

Once again, she clearly saw the gap between them.

They were never from the same world......

When Allison came out of the shower, her phone rang.

It was Dr. Dylan.

She answered, and on the other end, Dr. Dylan's voice came through, somewhat apologetic, "Sorry to bother you so late, Allison. I just forgot to ask, are you available tomorrow night?"

"I have work tomorrow night," Allison said.

On the other end, Dr. Dylan quickly asked, "How about the day after? Are you available then?"

"I can do lunch the day after. What's up, Dr. Dylan?"

"I want to take you to lunch as a thank you for your help today. And why are you calling me Dr. Dylan again?" He didn't want to be so formal with her.

"It’s okay..."
